 Old-timers...now I feel REALLY ancient!

Funny how that works huh? :D In the month-by-month, week-by-week, day-by-day, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute scrutiny of this process time is soooooo amplified! Playing the waiting game...

I thought things would fly by once I got the NOA2 but alas not so. The only difference is I don't have the uscis website to constantly refresh and the NVC isn't open on the weekends.

Can't wait to call them in the morning and see if it made it there yet.

Waiting for the NOA2 was tough I agree, waiting for next part of the process, NVC, Vancouver was probably the worst part. I had about 6 weeks between the time of sending back packet 3, finding out my interview date two days later after sending it back and the actual interview. Those 6 weeks were horrible, as well as the time it took to get the packet 3 letter from Vancouver.

Actually if your timeline was like mine you would have gotten your NOA2 on July 4th. You're only 13 days ahead of me.

2 months 12 days was the source. 4/16 + 2 months and 12 days = 6/28

BTW, your NOA1 is 19 days behind my NOA1. 4/16 - 5/5.

I did not say anything about what day you said a petition was mailed, I showed the NOA1 date. So what's your point?

"Jauque timeline:

05/05/2009 - NOA1

07/17/2009 - NOA2

2 months 12 days

minnew timeline:

So, no matter how you try to change the discussion, the NOA1 date is NOA1 date. That date is the date the government of the USA stamped the petition. Geez!

I am not going to sit here and argue with you about timelines and who is waiting longer or shorter and who should be complaining usagroom. I do feel for those filers who have had to wait longer or have gotten into security checks, I wish I fully understood why. I understand that you are frustrated that it is taking this long for you usagroom, its not easy and the immigration process is not something to tread lightly into, one has to be strong to get through it. It was frustrating for me to come onto VJ and see people who filed after me getting their NOA2, but it happens. Its all a part of the waiting game.

I probably have some early gray hairs! My mom was gray by the time she was 30! :help:

The wait sucks for everyone, its a very stressful anxious time because the United States government has your future with your fiance in their hands. On top of that I was waiting to make final wedding plans. Even after the NOA2 I thought I would breath a big sigh of relief, but not so, it only made things more stressful in the weeks leading up to the interview. A complete nervous wreck!

Everyone's experience in the this journey is different and everyone will adapt differently to the stress. The last part of the K-1 process was the worst for me and my fiance.

Are you talking to me? Because I am not arguing with you. I just noted that you two Canadian ladies have really short timelines, shorter than about anybody in our April thread, and you come in the thread here and complain about waiting. (see my signature) Now Jauque is arguing. :o Edited by usagroom

I'm not argueing, right now I'm just wondering to myself why your posts are always so bitter or negative or rude if not all three at the same time.

You complain about the wait almost every day. Are you just a hypocrite or are you the only one who's allowed to voice their opinion without being flamed?

:wow:

Why are we talking about timelines we can't help?

:ot2:

I think it stinks that not all the April and March filers are not approved yet.

When the NOA2 comes, there are new hurdles. It's a relief at first; it's an important step! But later on we may be listening to people who might get AP at NVC or whose embassy takes a lifetime to schedule an appointment or takes their time sending out packet 3 or takes 2 weeks to finally print off the visa and return the passport (someone London has been doing). There are no websites to check for status after NOA2. It's all long-distance phone calls or hoping someone responds to your email.

Are we really going to restate timelines and who might have had a quicker response the whole way? It's going to be a longer journey that way, IMO.

We're here to honestly support people, or is that not the case?

My petition was approved! USCIS website says NOA2 mailed July 24th. Touch was on July 26th. Must have been because the website was down yesterday. I am stoked! Now my sincerest wishes and prayers are for all the April filers and everybody else...that theirs happens very soon.

Lisa, I would have to say that it is not the case. This Jaugue is here to pound on me, been like that since she showed up here. I hope she has every little bit of fun with it. Something in the water? I appreciate the main people that come here to this thread to talk about fun stuff, not those that come to put down people. I will just ignore ashenflowers, jaugue, and the others that float over here from the canuck thread (where it is admitted they have a chip on their shoulders) to pick at me. Geez, give it a break. I've done nothing to you. What you are doing does nothing but lessen the enjoyment of everyone here in this thread. Now, please ease up. Reported and now ignored.
