Welcome back Ken!! Can't wait for an update and some pics :)

We are going to have a honeymoon, just not sure when/where. We are not in a financial position to plan that on top of immigration, moving me, coming back here for a reception.. etc. there have been some ideas tossed around but who knows. We'll see.

Attaya, come to Santa Barbara!! :) The sand isn't quite white, it's a bit chilly at night, but there are beaches and palm trees! LOL

Most annoying question: "You mean you can't just pick up and move down there? I thought we could do that!" to which I say: "no... no we can't... it's actually illegal, and if I could, I obviously wouldn't still be there... so tell that to all your friends committing fraud right now." (well I don't exactly say that, but kinda... there was a girl at work who 'suddenly' had to go away for a few days, and no one knew why other than it was a family issue... we thought someone died... turns out her cousin decided to get married at the last minute so his girlfriend from Spain could stay in Canada because her visa was running out... I was annoyed.....)

Oh-and are we playing "the most annoying questions you receive while waiting for NOA2/visa?" If so, here's my contribution. "Have you set a date yet?"
already answered the BIG BOOK question so here is my contribution to "the most annoying questions you receive while waiting for NOA2/visa?"

"Aren't American girls good enough for you?"

GRRRRR I hate that also...along with all their best intentioned warnings about gold diggers (ha! I dont have that much money!) and green card seekers. I have found it is useless to even try and make them understand.

but whats funny is that it goes the other way also...you would not believe the "warnings" my fiancee has received from family and friends about marrying a gringo! That is of course till they meet me!

I have no idea, really, except I do know one person who elects to not have his taxes taken out during the year. He just pays what he owes when he files his return. I think that's a recipe for disaster myself, but hey.

LOL I can totally relate to all the comments/questions by family and co-workers....so sick of answering questions by them! Everyone believes I should be able to marry without a visa and stay and get my citizenship right away

As far as the honeymoon, it will be a belated honeymoon for us as well. We want to go to Maui next year. We have talked about going to Vegas for a mini-honeymoon just to get away for a weekend if there are some good deals on airfare and hotels, which there are, but its going to depend on vacation time he can take and finances as well. He really wants to go to GA for christmas next year to see his family as its been a few years since, and there may be a trip to Toronto next summer as well for my cousin's wedding, hoping I have my GC by then!! Maybe the in-laws might suprise us with a paid honeymoon...*ok quit dreaming*

I know how it is done for a corp. (declare more expenses than revenue) but as far as income goes, $70K is $70K. But I don't think being behind in your tax payments would hinder you in this arena. If that debt makes you less than the required income it is understandable that you would need a sponsor though.

So, having an extra $$ documented monthly in a court ordered child support/divorce decree isnt extra income? Bullcrap, it is. Money is money. And its in my hands every month, so yes, child support is income............duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm so tired going round and round on that..........this ######'s pissing me off. Thats my rant of the day, I'll be better tomorrow.

Allie, I do think that child support does not count as income. Maybe I'm wrong.
