About 3 weeks ago I had a dream that James & I got a touch on either July 14th or July 16th. Oddly enough, on July 15th I checked our page on the USCIS website and it updated that there was a touch on 6/31/09! Of course, I was elated and relieved to know that our little file was alive and thriving. However, when I logged back in the next day, I couldn't log into my account. I tried all day and finally got on in the evening. By that time, our "last date updated" was 5/05/09 again! I've been untouched! The next day I told my sister I was bummed that USCIS stole my touch when she informed me that such a date does not exist :(

Has anyone else encountered this? I know USCIS did some maintenance on their website around the 15th, perhaps it was just an error?

Lisa- quick question. Did you receive any notice via the USCIS website or through e-mail?

My notice came from "CRIS" via email. Then, I checked the website, and it was updated. The email came at 9:30 last night.

haha! I never even thought that 6/31 doesn't exist! Our's is still hanging around as 5/7/9 for the last touch. Which is 'Odd Day'! Lol Seems appropriate.

Do you guys have motorbikes? If so, what kind?

no, just a regular bicycle, though I plan to get a scooter of some sort when I get settled in California.

Lisa, I don't have a motorbike either--sorry-didn't see that question until ashenflowers responded! I would love one, though! We'll see how things are going after we have to pay for the AOS fees.

James and Megan-I had something similar happen to me, but it was all in the course of a few hours, and I only noticed it because I check it constantly (like the maniac that I am). I got a touch on June 29 or something, and a few hours later it said May 05 (I had never received a touch on that date before), then a few hours later, it moved back to June 29. The next day I received another a touch. Who knows???

Thanks for the congrats everyone! You're next. This actually DOES happen! The good news is that the email notification seems to be working like it should now. I remember when people were getting their snail mail NOA2's as their first indication their cases were approved. Now, it seems to be the ever-so-much-quicker email.

I hope they keep pushing along this week! I want to see more! :):luv:

God, I never realized how frustrating it was to see people who filed an entire month before you receive approvals before you....In the same breath I can't complain because there are people who have been waiting months and months longer than me....In a little bit, I'm going to go out in "celebration" of my seven month anniversary---seven months since I've seen Lamine. Ugh. Don't care about work tomorrow. Lately, I've been waking up in the middle of the night in a panic and calling out Lamine's name, and for a moment--I think he's still there sleeping next to me. I hate the feeling of realizing that he's half a world away.

Having another "break down" day, in case you didn't notice, but I promise to snap out of it soon :D

Neil, excuse us, but how's the wedding planning going?

I still can't decide on a dress (I don't think I'm going to have an "it's the one" moment with a dress), but I've nailed down the menu, the cake, and I'm working out other details that will keep my mind occupied.

Come on approvals!

Don't have the energy to spell check tonight---sorry!
