I've been posting in this thread since I started this journey and in case you didn't notice this thread is called is April 2009 "filers" and as you can see in my signature I filed April 20th. I'm not gloating, I had noticed that another person received a touch today and I wanted to share the good news that people are getting approved today after a really slow week.

Oh, I think the months are for when you get the NOA1. No problem, just saw the other thread and that you were a May NOA1er. Why do you think you were approved before any April of May NOA1er?

In all honesty it probablly doesn't hurt that I'm Canadian not that I think its fair, I want everyone to get there NOA2's pronto. But I also think based on last Friday there was a huge influx of approvals that maybe for whatever reason they've made it through the H1/2 (whatever work visa it was that was slowing down the K1's) and are now trying to get back on top of things. I expect a huge turn around rather quickly.

Hmmm... My opinion is that it doesn't matter that you're Canadian... There are plenty of Canadians around here who filed earlier.

Dont you pull the Canadian card on us........the US gov't' doesnt prefer Canadians any more than anyone else...trust me, I'm Canadian and I immigrated her 15 years ago and am doing it again....they treat everyone the same....if you think you will also get special treatment when you are in USA cause you are Canadian you got another thing coming too...the only good thing is that you dont sound too different and you become a citizen easier cause you speak English...

All I know is that after all the bad stuff over the last year with my girls and I, luck has maybe turned our way. WE GOT A FREAKING TOUCH! (and not because I changed addresses) We are both so happy that someone actually scanned our file!

Congrats but are you gloating? You started a thread about yourself and then you posted in the April thread. Your NOA1 was in May, not April.

Posting it 1 time isnt gloating but since it was posted in three different topics.. it really comes accross like gloating...

*Holy smokes! She filed in April! Same thing happened to me, filed in December...NOA1 in January! How about a big congratulations instead!!! Sheesh!! It happens that people file after you get approved!! It happens to everyone!

I'm sorry hunny but it doesn't matter if you are Canadian or not, I have seen lots of Canadians end up in background checks at USCIS or even AP at NVC. Its just the luck of the pile.

Actually the filing date is noted on the NOA1, not when you put it in the mail. Notice I said CONGRATS first thing. What different people think is gloating is subjective, that is how the feeling is. Can't argue it.

We are all happy when people move ahead in this process.

Yes I understand that there is a received date on the NOA1, mine was dated Jan 13th, my actual NOA1 was the 14th of January. I sent it in the mail Dec 18th...I don't think mail to California takes 3 weeks! Anyways, congratulations on your touch! I hope that your NOA2 is soon after!! I never got an email, just a touch on my case, then the NOA2 arrived in my fiance's mailbox a few days later! :)

"my NOA1 was May 04/09, Lucky Me!" is the title of that thread. Doesn't sound like an April NOA1er.

Seriously? There are many VJers who post in 2 different months of "filers" because of sent date and actual NOA1 date, I sure did! and I posted in both threads about my approval! One will never know why it takes longer for some to be issued an NOA1 or get their checks cashed, it just happens. Can one not be excited about an approval? Like she said she had posted in this April thread before. Sheesh!

Congratulations again Jauque!

We have a few April filers here who received their NOA1 later than expected-ashenflowers I believe as well as Ken--and they are certainly in the April family :) Mine took a while to arrive as well. The title "April Filers" kind of leaves room for interpretation. He did file in April....

I know I certainly hope that they might let me slip in earlier because I filed early-mid April-not the end of April as my NOA1 indicates. In any case---It's good to see a non-expedited approval from someone after the month of March!

and usagroom---congrats on the touch!!!! I so hope that you and Lisa receive your approvals soon.

I was going to say a lot of things but I've decided not to, I don't want to add to the drama. What I want to say is that you for the congratulations and congratulations on all the touches tonight.

I will say this however, I'm overjoyed that I got my NOA2. My purpose in posting was to give others hope that theres could be getting approved as we type, because believe it or not I want to see everyone get approved. We should be happy for one another not trying to rip each other apart over good news.

I do think that certain countries have an easier time making it through the USCIS stage than others, you don't have to agree but the statisitcs speak for themselves. Saying that doesn't mean that I condone bias based on nationality it means that I know how to read statisitcs. I'm sorry if that is offensive to anyone.
