I'm actually not surprised at all that the estimated times changed... right now it seems they're going at about 4 months or slightly under... and my previous time was estimating 3.5 months from my NOA1. Of course earlier would be awesome, but I do actually think the slightly later timeframe is probably more accurate. :(

Did you see one of the recent approvals was an October 2008 filer? yikes... :crying:

Just a quick rant, and I know I should just keep my mouth shut, because I am so far ahead of you all... But damn these Visa "lawyers"

This is the 4th trip Nan has made to get her birth certificate. She does not live in her home district anymore. She has to take a bus 9-10 hrs north of Bangkok to get this paperwork. Each time she has asked, and I have asked, if any other papers are needed from this office, and the "paralegals" say "No" So this is her 4th trip now, and they told her she needed a different version of her birth certificate and she needed a letter from her district office saying she has never been married before. Each time she has had documents drawn at this office, she goes across the street and faxes them to the legal office and then calls to confirm this is what they need. Each time they said yep it's good, but I guess not. Now she has to wait until Tuesday so she can get the single cert. And her phone gets no reception at her grandmothers house. SO I don't get to call her when I want now, I just get the random hours call when/if she goes into town. Ah.

I also just want them to get this taken care of super quick so we can nail down an interview date. I will be in the middle of moving then, and I am entitled to 30 days of leave... which would be perfect to be wih Nan for the interview, and have her fly back with me, but the way these idiots work, I will be outside my window for leave, and her interview date. Aghhhh! I hate people who can not do what they claim to do. Maybe I'll see her in September... :ot:

Okay sorry for all my complaining. I just hate when people do not do their jobs. I feel better now, kinda'. :bonk:

Congrats to everyone on moving down on igors list! Sorry to hear about your delay usagroom. I can't imagine how you feel at this point. You will be with your girls soon. I also enjoyed your quit complaining post, that really was good for a laugh. I wish I llived near you, I would throw you an NOA2 party if I did.

Where is Ken these days? Must be enjoying his time down with his girl.

Glad to see the dresses and hair picture postings have slowed. I almost put up another monster truck picture.

Goodnight gang.

The disgruntled Neil

Oh Neil, You know you are just jealous that you don't get to wear a pretty dress and get your hair did.

I'm sorry that they are giving you such a hard time. Hopefully Nan gets what she needs this time with no problems.

Good morning!

Neil, I'm so sorry that the paperwork quest is turning into such a pain. Hopefully this will be the last trip she'll have to make up there. It's frustrating when your SO doesn't have cell service as well. How long does she have to stay there? Hope it all works out.

Ashenflowers, I think you're right. I don't expect mine for another month either. But I'm getting grumpy about it

usagroom-hope that you get to see your girls soon (F)

Anything new and exciting happening? I keep watching Igor's list for the first April approval....

Thank God it's Friday!

I don't see anywhere in my post where I feel I was "whining", I think like many people here going through this, that I have bad days where I hate this process. If you chose to enjoy this "game" then good for you. I don't. If this process takes 1 year for my SO to be with me then I see this as 1 year of my life that I will not have spent with her. I asked a very simple question "how do others deal with the pain and the loneliness of not being with your love?" I feel a man purpose of this website is to support each other when we have bad days and issues pop up, not to "bash" on people.

Mav, I was completely tongue-in-cheek, hence the smiley wink at the end. No one enjoys waiting. I think I posted in the last 20-30 posts that this is time that we cannot regain. I was certainly not trying to bash you, just coping with it with a little humor.

BTW, found out that my trip to see my girls cannot happen for at least another month. :crying:

Heh, It's all good! Have a great weekend

Fascinating.

Yet another reason why the USA is no longer a colony! :D

Good days are the days you only have to go into the office for an hour. Today was a good day. Hope everyone else has had a good day as well.

Off to run some errands. I will be back to post a monster truck picture to counter the twinkie wedding cake.

Isn't Canada part of the northern US, or is it western France? :P
