just to.. um... briefly go back to dresses for a sec...

i found this one

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3005197/0~2376...6005465&P=1

It might be my favourite so far...

Ash - That's a very pretty dress. I was hanging out on Nordstrom a lot, too. :)

Attaya - I hope she is much better today. How awful. How is Lamine?

Neil - Was it one of those thick penicillin shots? My daughter got one in her leg, and it was awful! At least the shots are over with. I hope you know how to box.

Ken, it's progressed really rapidly-whatever it is. Four days ago, she got a fever that kept getting worse. Two days ago she couldn't walk, and yesterday, they couldn't wake her up. He's at the hospital with her now, and I'm awaiting updates.

ashenflowers-that dress is beautiful!!!

Neil-congrats on Nan's passing the medical!

She's awake and they gave her a lot of fluids, and she seems to be doing better now. It's so hard for me to know what's really going on. They kept her at the hospital for a while, gave her some medication, and sent her home. She's sleeping again now. I have no idea what's wrong. She seemed fine a week ago, and I can't imagine what would be progressing so quickly. Granted, I'm not a doctor, but I can't believe how quickly she became ill. Keeping my fingers crossed that she keeps getting better.

Sorry to stick my nose in here. I really hope that your mother gets better. A situation like that is extremely hard to manage. We will have her in our prayers.

PEACE............

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.

I guess that begs the question, are the grooms and brides of April 2009 CSC K-1 filers going to be wearing head gear for the marriage? If so, what? (pictures, PICTURES!)

Of course you know that usagroom and bride will be sporting trad Chinese headresses. The kind we will choose when I get there this month. I asked her if she wanted to do the Western veil look and she very politely declined. :D

Very good news! Germs/bacteria/etc. can take a person out fast. Fingers and toes and eyes and arms and legs crossed here for her continued recovery.

Update on my girl's mama, she has stabilized and now is just suffering through the normal Hunan summer. 99F yesterday, 100F today, 99F tomorrow.

Please take a picture of yourself with your finger toes and eyes and arms and legs crossed. I really want to see that.

Glad to hear you lady's mama is getting better. and attaya_girl I hope your future mother in law keeps progressing as well.

Today is spent moving stuff around in prep for the movers... I never realized how much stuff I had. I used to live out of a backpack, now I can furnish a 1200sf home. Where did all this stuff come from.

Thanks for posting the actual picture of the dress usagroom. I was multitasking too much to take the time to actually get it.. hahah It looks awesome when it's even larger on the screen!

I'm not sure I'm wearing a veil... Our ceremony is going to be on the beach so it might not work out well to have a veil, and feels too formal for what we had in mind.

I'm with you! I'm going for the flower approach myself. I found this on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27600516 or this would be pretty, too: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24744902.

A wedding on the beach would be nice. :) A friend of mine did that around sunset. It made for some beautiful photos.

C'mon. this is your show that you do only once with the groom. I get the feeling that without a veil of some sort then the bride looks a little naked or informal for such an important event. It isn't a casual event, it is the everlasting union between two people, give us some pomp and circumstance! JMO :)

For me, i'm wearing the white dress and a sheer white shawl, so a veil may be too much! The flower is a much better approach for me! Poor Nigel at work, the co-workers dont really believe him that he's immigrating....they kind of blow him off...he got kind of upset last day or so, so I think I may send him a copy of our noa1 to put in his wallet to flash at these jerks....I told him, they'll know come Christmas or so when your LOOONG gone! His family's accepted it cause they know me...but co-workers, well obviously not. Well Wednesday (15th) is another big update day on the USCIS site, so i'm anxious to see what they put in....plus its Harry Potter day at the theatres! lol. Thats where I'll be that day maybe!!

TTYL guys,

Allison.
