Lisa, your dress is BEAUTIFUL!!! Have you already bought it? I haven't really pinned mine down yet. Just been trying stuff on whenever I'm getting really down

Allie-you have to do as usagroom said above and paste a picture here!

Ashenflowers, have you tried anything on yet or made a decision? We want pictures :D

Ken-it sounds like you are going to have such an amazing trip. How long are you going to be gone? And I second Lisa's comment about souvenirs :)

No, I haven't yet. I need to lose weight first, and probably won't try anything on for a couple of months. For some reason, 'the' dress isn't as big a deal to me as it probably should be! LOL However, that doesn't stop me from looking :P

I'm kinda going non-traditional. Our ceremony is small/private and on the beach, as I mentioned... and our reception is basically a 'fancy' bbq.

Anyway...

Even though this one is technically a bridesmaid's dress, I like it... the one on the far right... but the sash is a bit too wide and distracting... it's more like something I'd wear to our reception back in Canada.

51WxIulvpoL._SS500_.jpg

I also like this one, but I don't like the fit... it has potential to make a girl look preggers when she's not. LOL

51Cb8j0O2GL._SS500_.jpg

I also like this one the most I think, except in more of a white colour (i.e. off white, much less 'cream' coloured, or whatever). It's the one on the right hand side, w/o the flowers... although I don't like the flowery thing on the side of the dress and would probably take it off.

51m+EswDNSL._SS500_.jpg

So yeah, they're all different, and essentially I have no idea. :P

LOL!

I haven't even looked at David's Bridal yet... Those are just from Sears. LOL

My apologies to the guys in the thread for all the dress talk...

Those are really pretty! I like the last one the best. :) Beware of David's Bridal. If you put things in your cart (online) and leave without buying them, they call you the next day, asking you if you need an appointment. "No", I say. "Are you sure? Your wedding is only xxx days away..." lol (they are somewhat pushy, IMO)

I do have my dress, attaya. It is hanging in my closet, waiting for me to find a suitable garment bag for it. :)

Good night, everyone! Thanks for helping me get through the day. :D

That's fantastic on so many levels... I was googling pictures of monster trucks today because my fiance and I were pretend-arguing about what makes a monster truck. He was saying some guy showed up at work with one and sent me a pic. And I was like 'that's not a monster truck! THIS is a monster truck!' and sent him ridiculously huge monster truck pics, and a batmobile monster truck, and a smart car monster truck... hahaha it was so awesome....

Also, he would love the beer pic  haha

My apologies to the guys in the thread for all the dress talk...

I think a guy brought the subject up.

How about this for a guy:

wallacenew.jpg

It was my first choice and still might win out.

That is cool! Are you Scottish, or do you like the clothing? I like traditional dress for guys. If Ian were in the military, I think a uniform would be cool. As for him, he is going to wear a really nice suit, probably without a tie (as opposed to a tux), because we are not being formal at all.

Although MensWarehouse.com does rent suits these days. I have not been hanging out on the Internet at all. :)

Good morning!

Neil, I laughed so hard-both when I saw the pictures and when I read your comment about drinking :) Mmmm, beer....

ashenflowers-all of the dresses are really pretty! I like the last one the best also. Is it bad that I don't like white wedding dresses?

usagroom-I like the Scottish garb. Is your family from there?

I have to drive to the southern part of the state today for some dumb doctor's appointment that I have tomorrow. Am not looking forward to it. It's no big deal, but they are putting me under for a little while. They said I'm going to be sleepy and funny all day long, and I just know I'm going to want to call Lamine and will probably be ridiculous and gushy and run up a ridiculous phone bill

Should have budgeted for that... Oh, well.

Ok. I'm going to vent.

One of my co-workers (and a sweet, wonderful friend) and her husband started house-hunting oh, all of three weeks ago. They already found a house, applied for a loan, and made an offer. This in the course of the last week and a half. She has been freaking out this past week and keeps asking what is taking sooooo long in getting everything approved. I keep reminding her that it has been 8 days (not even 8 business days, mind you) since she turned in the application. She is supposed to hear by this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the very latest, and is still constantly worrying about what is taking so long and why it can't be done sooner. I'm trying to be patient, but all I can think is "you just got married, have your husband here with you, and are impatient about 8 days?" I've been waiting 88 days just with the I-129f-forget how long I've been waiting to see Lamine again.

Ok. I'm done venting for the moment.

Yes, my heritage is pure Scottish and the name/tartan is the most famous in the country. That's our family tartan on the kilt I posted.

I did the monkey suit routine my first marriage so I don't want to jinx myself by doing it again.

Those looks like Wallace colors... Nice. But I think Royal Stewart is the most famous/poular. Looks very similar to Wallace dress.

These are my colors

You're as bad as I am... I don't want anything remotely resemblant to my first marriage. :)

I mentioned your kilt idea to Ian, and he said he might be interested in that, as well. His mother's maiden name is Williams. Coincidentally, the tartan color is red, which is the color I picked out for the wedding anyway. :)

Leidys was sent some $$ to obtain her Colombian Passport and DAS... In Bogota, she will obtain her medical examinations... I will be obtaining all related Packet 3 Paperwork, and taking necessary paperwork to her as well.
Busy busy busy ........ and EXCITING!
... I plan on visiting some School sites where Developmentally Disabled students and Disadvantaged youths are educated... just like the work that I do full-time here... to gain a wider perspective with regards to special services made to those with disabilities...
Interesting, a couple family members work in the same field and I'd be curious of your findings. Did you call ahead so that they know you might be coming? I commend you on your work!

I'm going to email the school in order to request a contact person and date in which to visit.
