92 Avg. Days between Consulate (in China) Receiving Information from NVC and Actual Interview
I looked through some of the cases and found out it's 4 to 5 months. That's significantly more than other consulates. Man, it's going to be a LONG wait!

Well hopefully we will all be reunited with our fiance's by Christmas....or earlier! Knock on wood...lol. Just getting the noa2 is happiness enough for me right now...:-)

Sadly I already know I'm not spending Christmas with mine, regardless... The other difference is also that while we all filed in April, some of us are literally a month apart in our NOA1s, whether we filed at the beginning of april or the end. I'm still just hoping for January 10, 2010 as our wedding date... that's the best I can do :(

For details visit My Timeline or Profile

I can't bear to think that it might be another 5-6 months before I see Lamine. I can't.....Senegal has about 60 days between NOA2 and interviews, but I'm going to cling to the thought that some of those people just weren't ready to submit all the paperwork, etc. I know it's not very realistic, but for the sake of my sanity, I'm clinging to that thought.

Does the Packet 3 shortcut apply to your Consulate in Senegal? That's where you fax pertinent info to the Consulate there in anticipation of attaining an interview much sooner. I have been told it can cut 30 days from your Interview time.

I didn't know something like that existed. I haven't heard mention of it on the consulate website, but i might just have to call or e-mail them about it (which I'm sure they'll love). Anything to cut down on the in-between time. I studied other people's timelines at the Dakar embassy, though, and there were definitely people who had an interview within 3-4 weeks of the consulate receiving package three. I want us to be one of those cases.

Never heard of a shortcut. We frontloaded our I-129F with almost everything for pack 3 anyway and I guess you could always send in the stuff earlier. They won't look at it until the NOA2 so I can't imagine it saving 30 days unless after NOA2 it takes you that long to submit pack 3. Do you have a link to this "shortcut"?

Never heard of a shortcut.

This is in reference to faxing information that will be requested by your Consulate in order to get your Interview date sooner. In the "Colombia Club II" thread there is lots of discussion about this (US Embassy and Consulate Discussion).
