Well approvals are great, I'm just praying for no RFE'S however for me... yes, thank goodness I have passport stamps that I can send in....AAARGH...i'm having a ###### day because of this worrying!!! I didnt want to tell Nigel but whatever...I did, he seems to have a lot calmer temperment than I do and never freaked out or anything....lol...he still bugs me that I messed stuff up cause we thought he could just come over here and move and THEN file a k3 but I found this cool book from NOLO about spouse/fiance visas and it totally blew everything out of the water plan wise...oh i was so upset when I found out about that but anyways, sheesh what a day.....I forgot to ask him today If he sent in for his police records...I KNEW I was supposed to ask him SOMETHING today when I spoke to him.... i need some chocolate!!!!!!!!!

usagroom- Thanks for posting that! I was looking for information regarding what I should do w/a self-employed co-sponsor, etc. I also didn't even think about needing his birth certificate translated! Wonder where we can find a translator in Dakar....

Did you all see the topic "NOA2 already?" Non-expedited and received his NOA2 in 22 days! Jealous....VSC, though.

Yeah, that is amazing. I did not know that they could work miracles like that. I wish I was in his shoes, and got my approval soon.

Thanks for the notary information!

Allie, don't worry too much about the RFE. No one wants to get one, but it seems like after the information is returned, people tend to get approved really quickly. As long as you have everything ready to go, an RFE probably wouldn't hold up your case too much at all.

Why do you think CSC is moving so much faster than VSC?

Not sure, but there is quite a bit of activity at the "March CSC" thread.

So, I talked with my fiance about the estimated approval times on the time lines, and I told him that we were only 49 days away from that date-which doesn't seem so horribly far away to me (not when you consider the fact that we've been apart for soooo much longer than that), but he just howled, "that's going to take forever!" :P Miss him so much, and, yes, it does seem like it's taking forever, but having a non-triple digit number in mind is comforting to me. And I know that it could very well take twice as long, but I'm trying to be optimistic and aim for mid-August. If mid-August comes and goes, it'll be easier for me to think "just one more month" and keep adjusting it than for me to think now that I could have another six months before I get to see him....

I hope CSC keeps "scooting" along like this! :)

That's a nice chapel. What I like about LV is that you arrive, it's pre-decorated, the photographer is there.. You don't have to pick out people or put separate deposits down. It's nice. :)

I don't want to bring everyone down, but as a realistic person it's what I do.. LOL Depending on the speed of the consulate/embassy, there will still be a few months of the process left to go after we get our NOA2s... I think I have another 3 months, maybe up to 4 months to go after my NOA2 before actually getting the visa... :(
