still no check cashed....only been a week, but i'm already getting impatient!

I sent my I-129F off to the vermont center on the 13th (I hope its not bad luck) and I just saw that the check came out of my account today, 8 days later. Still nothing in the mail. Maybe tomorrow or Thursday.

To distract me from the lack of check-cashing going on at CSC, I'm curious to know when all you April filers are planning to get married?

My fiance and I are tentatively thinking of next January.

Haven't thought about when to get married yet. I just want him in the country first. Plus most likely it'll be small. A few friends, a cake, some champagne. Done. We want to have the BIG wedding in Africa.

We're thinking along those lines, too (only England, instead of Africa) We're hoping for August or September, but haven't naturally made solid plans yet.

We're not planning anything big until all the paperwork is completed. I'm hoping the CSC has it's act together for me to be able to move in January, so we can have a small civil ceremony, just the two of us, perhaps on either 1/9/10, or 1/10/10 (the dates of Jan 9th and 10th/2010 look cool lol)... Then, either the summer of 2010, or summer of 2011, we'll return for a family celebration/reception with our friends and family in Canada. My parents are planning of moving out of Canada too though, to Cambodia, some time in 2010 or 2011.... and my brother and his family (wife and 2 kids) are also moving to Cambodia THIS year... so it depends on all their plans.. I don't want to have a big celebration with family and friends if my own family can't even be there So yeah, mine's a weird scenario in that sense. lol

Hoping to be moved in by January (well, if we're going for "hoping", I'm hoping for before the end of the year...), and probably just have a very small ceremony shortly after that. Nothing extravagant. Just his family, my small one too. Perhaps a couple of my friends if they can make the trek (and have passports, oi).

yeah, i sent it to CSC and they received it on the 14.

as far as wedding plans go....they're getting away from me i think we'll do a small ceremony when he gets here (hopfully around october!) then have a bigger celebration/ceremony in the spring. i wanted to keep it small, but my family is really running away with it....so we'll see. his family also wants to throw a BIG celebration in senegal, so we'll see. sounds like lots of wedding celebrations. but no dates or reservations yet. not until this all works out.

I'm still unsure if the CSC even recieved our package... we sent it on Monday the 13th and we never got the return recipt back and our money order hasnt been cashed yet.

Am I just being a bit to paranoid or what? I'm not even sure how return recipts work tbh

Just phoned USPS and they recieved it in CA on the 17th! yay!
