For me the hardest part now is that the weather is so nice now. There are sooooooooooooooooooo many things I can think of that my SO and I could be doing together...it seems like wasted time. Anybody else feel the same way? I also think that if her visa is approved in November or December....which is when I realistically expect it...she will be arriving in the winter here. Quite a shock to her I am sure, and personally I HATE winter.

My girl is sitting in 90+ temp and I sit in 70+

I like seasonal changes, so does she. Hot 3 months, cold three months, in between 6 months. Perfect.

:dance::star:Happy Birthday!! :star::dance:

I will be leaving in exactly 3 weeks with Mom to visit Leidys and introduce my Mother to Leidys' family. I wanted to be on stand-by all summer, saving what I could for our wedding, but my Mother is depressed and now angry about my Father's passing in April. This visit couldn't come at a better time. Happy Birthday Allie!

I think I will be exercising my passport again in late August, right before running out the door. I also found out on friday my next assignmnet is on Oahu, HI. I have a few friends there already, and the weather will be much nicer than AK has been.

Trying to work an extension on our approved petition. No one will talk to us while it is in AP though... Lame.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Happy belated birthday, Allie!!!

Nill-congratulations on your assignment in Hawaii, and I hope everything goes well with the extension on your petition. That would be amazing! This is a stupid statement, maybe, but if it doesn't work out to get the extension, can you submit it again w/out the expedite, then it should fall into the time that your fiancee is turning 20. Just thinking....

I got to talk w/Lamine on Skype again and it was wonderful! More big smiles and giggles, but my dad was in town, so he got to see him for the first time! Both my mom and sister flew out to meet him and his family, but my dad wasn't ably to make it, so Skype was wonderful.

Oh-and I'm loving watching my igor's list # go down!!!

Haven't thought about when to get married yet. I just want him in the country first. Plus most likely it'll be small. A few friends, a cake, some champagne. Done. We want to have the BIG wedding in Africa.

we are doing the same thing, we just said we'll get married in california just as soon as they approve us, then have a big wedding back home in Australia, I've seen some really nice places on the Sunny coast for a beach wedding.

"Sigh"

Try Oceano Dunes SVRA south of Pismo Beach, CA. You'll want to stick to the north side of the park - your wedding party can park their vehicles and you'll have facilities and not too large of crowds. The place is magical and you can return there on your anniversary - or just to rent quads!!

Ivan%20Justicia_DSCN2450.jpg

ooooh sounds very nice, is it near san diego?

Oceano Dunes is on the Central Coast - Near Morro Bay and Hearst Castle. Great places to visit while in that area. Don't forget the Clam Chowder is incredible there!

Wicked! I am a fan of Clam Chowder too, well if we don't get married there maybe we'll honey moon there, Its def on my to do list while in the states now anyway. How yr wedding palns coming along?

We kinda expect the NOA2 to come in July-August which will be cool because I will be there in China.
Wow, I just looked at the timeline data for CSC K1 filers and Feb. ones ran about a month from NOA1 to NOA2! There were hardly any K1s filed there in March so I think we all are in progress (fingers crossed).

Now thats music to my ears!

"April is the cruelest month" - TS Elliot

In April, my father urged me to file my K-1 so that he could meet my fiancee Leidys. He died 1 week later in the hospital of Cancer, and a few days after his funeral, I completed my K-1 package, and the next day I shipped it via USPS.

Now, my mother is holding her breath along with me over our NOA2.

USAGroom, I applaud your vigilance in keeping us informed about processing dates with the CSC as I am too busy to focus on any 1 thing at a time (Master's Degree on-line, 40 hr. work/wk, tending to 2 households, etc.).

After I return from Barranquilla in late July, I'll start focusing on that NOA2, and Packet 3.

-Ken

Sorry to hear about yr Dad, that mut suck big time!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! Made me feel better anyway! Spoke to the pre-in laws yesterday on skype and modeled my wedding dress and showed them Nigel's outfit being they cant come to the wedding due to their health...thank goodness in Vegas they have recorded video at the ceremony so the can watch later....lucky Nigel was at a beer festival having a jolly time while I was at home, I made a batch of bread and a birthday quiche for myself so that was productive!! lol...I was also checking the March people's timelines, yes they're chugging right along...crossing fingers over here.....Nice family photos by the way Ken!

Also playing the waiting game...............
