Have you tried calling the consulate and see if they'll define what a religious divorce decree is?

That is a good idea and I was going to call them today. They have only hours from 2 -4 pm, and that means I will just have to stay up a little late. I emailed them, but they are not good with the email responses and very vague. Thanks! :)

Still waiting on the religious divorce decree. We should have it hopefully by next week. I have been in touch with the consulate on a regular basis as far as emails. But, I don't get any responses. I called DOS and they just told me to submit what they request. I am going to be sending the consulate a letter to address in questions they have and also to validate the extension my petition. I called them a few times, but were unable to reach them. Today I am going to call them and hopefully I get lucky.

Remember in October when we got the acknowledgment that the Consulate had processed our P3 and we asked for our interview be delayed until she finished her court mess? Remember they said "When she is ready to move forward, please notify us 2 months in advance for interview scheduling"? Well we had yet to notify them but she opened her mail today and there was a letter from them scheduling her interview for January 4, 2010. Her court mess is not finished, I cannot come until it is finished, it is not good if I do not go there before the interview since it has been over a year since I was there, so now we have to ask for a new interview date. Also today, her lawyer says that he thinks everything is done on her case it it is likely that their court date on 12/24/09 will be the end of it.

So in short...

GOOD NEWS:

1. We got an interview date

2. The court case might be finished shortly

BAD NEWS:

1. We got an interview date before we are ready and have to request a different date (hopefully in February after the new year holiday)

Oh yeah, all of us are sick from different maladies. Besides all that, everything is normal.

good afternoon VJ'ers

Congratulations James & Gareth for the visa's

Allie i'm sure u look much like the cheshire cat at the moment lol

love the pics ken u guys look so happy to be together

Star & EOTR sending u lots of luck! & i'm am enjoying the holidays with my hubby thanks Star we got our tree last weekend :D

Just picked up my vaccination sheet & they didn't charge me anything, unless I walked out b4 she told me how much. She gave it to me & I said so is that it, she said yes, so I left. I only had to pay for the vaccinations TD $50ish, MMR $50ish, chicken pox test $50 & Influenza $25. So try to get to a US health works. I didn't do my vaccinations as part of my medical so I have to fill out the I-693. Now just waiting on the marriage cert & we can apply for AOS. My marriage cert was held up because the laws have changed as to what the celebrants titles are so make sure the person marrying you is aware. oh it may only be in california.

SS, does yr lil lady have any proof of her vaccination history? I didn't. & if she's under 26 she may have to have the HPV shot which I hear is expensive, I'm 33 so didnt' have to have it.

Happy Holidays xx

Shewack
