We'll have some big news tomorrow. :clock:

Good, keep us posted! I'm all somewhat happy, cause I called the DOS Friday and they said our documents qualified however they didnt make the visa yet....soooooooo, we'll see....I'll be bugging them next week....I keep on remembering Marm I think, she says the DOS ladies lie. Soooo, i donno...we'll see.

You shouldn't have the same sort of delay from the embassy. It sounds like you're approved to me.

Does Nigel have his ticket from the courier? If so get the tracking number and check the courier website. Once the tracking number is recognized, they have your visa in-hand, and you'll see your delivery date.

Even when he sent the passport with the courier, they gave the tracking number, however even SENT it was never a valid # on the website, I will have him dig it up again to 2nd check but I will phone our ladies at the DOS every day or so...they know me pretty well now...lol...

The tracking number will not show up as valid until the day before delivery, which is when they have it in hand. If I remember correctly, ours took 4 or 5 days. As you know, it varies according to how much paperwork they're shuffling that day. :)

Big news came today in triplicate.

1. My co-sponsor dropped out and I don't have a replacement. I know my papers qualify but me being self-employed is dodgy at Guangzhou. I was really counting on my co-sponsor, a family member, but they got cold feet. I don't hold it against them but the timing is crushing. Now there is even more pressure.

2. My girls are in court again this Friday hoping that will finish. Of course she must pay off more money to the judge and lawyers.

3. The guy who is buying one of my companies is dawdling on paying the final installment of $20K so going to visit my girls is delayed too.

Geeeeeeeeeeeez! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger I keep telling myself.

EOTR - We are all in this together and we will be with you on this thread as long as it takes. Hang in there ok?

Starlight, you shine so bright. I will hang in there, even when time and again the roadblocks swoop in. At times we feel like we are fighting a tide trying to keep us apart, but we know we are at the end and the interview is the last thing.

Whatever, sounds like I'll be here flipping forever too...seems as if....argh....!

I love your posts, sorry but I find them hilarious! :D I know you both are suffering but it is the way you write it that is extreme! "argh"

Thanks attaya, so good to see you checking in. Be sure to post your AOS trail on our thread in that forum.

Everyday we talk a couple times and we understand these difficult times. I received their xmas gifts today to me and my boys. Our second xmas apart. She is so strong and holds us together. And she says I am the strong one! I guess I put up a good front because I am torn up inside.

Just thought I'd share that Ian and I were married over the weekend. I wondered what a courthouse wedding would be like, and it turned out to be wonderful. The ceremony took about 20 minutes, and was full of the customary, "Marriage is an important commitment" statements, which was really nice... it wasn't a quick "do you?" kind of ceremony. As soon as the judge opened her mouth, tears started rolling down my cheek (happy tears).

At the end, my dad was even crying, and he rarely does that. It was a really happy day!

We had a dinner at a really nice restaurant afterward. They were kind enough to reserve a table for 15 in a quiet area and their pastry chef even made us a cake. It was perfect.

We work so hard and so long to come to this place, it is really amazing when we get to the spot where we are actually saying "I do". :)

We all get there. This is the goal we work for, and it comes eventually. Keep working and I hope everyone makes good progress on their journey this week! :star:
