More craziness here in the Chinese courts. It is so painful because we can do nothing until this is resolved. Lawyers and judges just want to soak the people for all they can get. Whomever pays the most, wins. Yes, it happens in the USA too but it seems to happen in China on even the smallest cases. I hate it.

WAITING TO HEAR THE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a question.... What would be the down-side of letting it all go (legal issues in China) so you can take care of the visa part and just be together? Just curious.

Well, when the father died he left his house and all his savings (tens of thousands) to his daughter. So the mother is fighting for the daughter's future and that is something that she will never let go. The father's family (who he grew to dislike very much) got nothing which is why they are fighting this so much. That would be fine except the way they are doing it. They are slandering and smearing the mother and daughter horribly. They convinced the company that held the father's savings to give the family access to the money (which she thinks they are using to pay off the judge). The family emptied the house of everything and when the mother changed the locks on the door, they broke the door down. It is just a crazy situation and causing us so much pain. My girls just want to put the money in the bank, sell the house, and get the hell out of the country.

*sigh*

It will be fine. It's easy to worry, but early Wednesday morning, you'll know it is all OK. :)

Allie don't worry you will be fine. I am sure he will pass the interview with flying colors. I know its hard and I am guilty of worrying and I drive myself crazy sometimes. But, just relax and think positive.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I loved that movie especially the remake with Johnny Depp.

Attaya, I can't wait to see the rest of the pics! What a great start!! You guys are SO cute...

As for the Riggs donations, lol I will pass. I have enough to worry about myself, and could easily start up an account asking for my own money... that is for sure... Sorry you didn't know about the AOS fee... that's an unfortunate surprise, if you weren't expecting it :(

Do you have any family or friends that might be able to pitch in, if you threw a fun fundraising sort of party? Ya never know.

Mav... for the SSN what state are you in? The requirements vary from state to state. I personally am not going to get mine ahead of time, cause I heard it can be a pain in the butt with the name change and everything. But I dunno... I've heard stories on both sides.

I live in Ohio.

I'm not sure the requirements for ID for an SSN would vary by state. It's a government agency. I know there are varying levels of office staff's understanding of the rules, but that's just because they don't understand the rules correctly, right?

Sorry, by this I mean the requirements for the marriage license will vary. Some require both parties to have a SSN before they can get one, some do not.
