I still need to call DoS and see if my packet's even logged.

Good idea, Rhiann! Let us know what you find out. :) I've had good luck with DOS. Everytime I call, they have good info for us.

Attaya - Have you thought about getting married at the courthouse? Ian and I are thinking about that. It's the least complicated, and (at least in Nebraska), you don't have to give much notice. Judges or retired judges are usually immediately available. Some will do it off-site. The tough thing for me has been finding a site. So far, the least expensive place has been a B&B which offers an indoor wedding in their living room area and a small reception using their dining area and their kitchen. It's nice, but I can't decide!

SS - Very nice photos! Glad you are together again! Wedding plans?

Allie - Yeah, we got lucky and hit London at just the right time, apparently. The visas themselves are taking about 10 days, I hear. We'll see. Our paperwork reached them on 9/24 and our interview was assigned on 10/7, for 10/21. I have a somewhat nervous SO right now. lol

Good luck to everyone on their journey this week!

Why are you bitter?? At least you can still -reasonably- plan on having him there this year. That's CERTAINLY not that bad... just sayin'...

Chocolates still a good idea, but yeah... lol

So, here is the update on my petition. It was sent out to the consulate on the 9th from NVC. That was really fast additional processing :). Does NVC assign another case number? Or can you still use USCIS case number to send out packet 3. My fiance is ready to send out Packet 3, but we were going to include a cover letter and wanted to confirm what case number to use. Anyone can shed any light? Thanks again for all your help.

SS- Congrats on the wedding plans.

Everyone else waiting I am sure all of your will be with your SO soon, and all the interview will be successful.

I apologize I have not been up to par on the posts today and yesterday. I have been busy gathering everything I need to give to my dad, and been getting home pretty late for my work. I will catch up and I am eagerly waiting to congratulate the ones waiting for your interview as I know all of you will be successful.

Attaya - Its always so nice to hear about your day with Lamine. It seems like he is adjusting so well to everything.

Oh my gosh!! St. Louis your interview is in 5 days. This is great news and wishing both of you the best of luck.

Lisa - Your interview is coming up in one week. This is so exciting. You were the originator of the April 09 thread and all of us are graduating and moving on. Yay!!!!!!!!!! All the best to you on the preparation and the interview.

Emily - Good luck as your interview is coming up very soon.

NVC assigns a case number based on your embassy. Just call NVC tomorrow and ask them for it. :)
