I think touches are when the barcode on your file is scanned so it could mean a lot of things. If they really handle cases in order (except expedited) then we still have a long wait.

No one in March has been processed yet

I think you're kidding yourself to be expecting anything in the mail right now.. LOL Really. Not trying to be negative or dash your hopes, but the constant checking, and waiting, and verifying timelines is honestly going to make this period in the process 100x worse.

Yeah, I know... I just haven't seen a case only sit for a month, then get touched, then sit for a long time again. Most of the time, after a case has been entered, you see your "last update" date a couple days from your NOA1 date. then nothing again, unless they are about to process... which usually means either an RFE or NOA2. Am I wrong?

Ive seen a few that get touched twice in a month and then nothing until the NOA2 a few months later. They are suppose to scan it when ever they move it so just shifting it to a different portion of the warehouse can cause a touch as well. Unfortunately I have to agree with usagroom. None of the March lot has gotten approvals yet, and usually at least some of the group in the month before have received approvals before they move to the next month.

I disagree. It is my duty and honor to check every single day. I have a fiancee that is counting on me. It is enjoyable and reassuring to stay on top of the matter. Waiting is unavoidable.

I honestly havnt checked the USCIS site almost at all over the course of this month. I will just wait until I receive an e-mail before I start fussing over it. In the meantime I'm getting on with my life.

i think that one of the reasons i keep checking the case status so frequently is that even though i filed only a month and a half ago, it's been five months since we've seen each other. it seems like it's been soooo much longer than a month and a half. as i'm sure everyone else here does, i have two timelines running in my head---the amount of time since i've mailed the I-129f and the amount of times that's passed since i've seen my fiance. it's the second one that's killing me, and sometimes it helps to check the case status-just for some hope that this will really be over someday.

NOA 2 Was in the mailbox when I came home for lunch today! Notice date of May 18th! I can't believe it! I was running around screaming for 10 minutes! I still can not believe I am holding it in my hands!    :wacko:

I hope everyone else in our April filers get a fast process like Nan and I got! Best of luck for all of you, I will have Nan say a few prayers for the group, because whatever she did worked!
