I'm kinda tempted to say "What, only a month of waiting?" cause I'm bound to wait like 3+ months, but I need to keep my rage to myself

Is there a high five emoticon? Cause I'm with you on that.... so yeah..

lol

While I know a month would still seem like a long time to those of you waiting, personally, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to only wait a month to have an interview. All my plans would fall in line perfectly.. but as it stands, I have NO clue when my interview will be, and it might not even be this year.... same with Rhiann.

That's all I'm going to say now... I don't want to complain about it anymore. Most of you are the U.S. citizens, but I'm not... I'm the one giving up everything to move there... so for now I will enjoy what little time I have left with all my friends and family

ashen, rhiann-I'm so sorry you guys have to wait so d*mn long for your interview. I hope that the wait ends soon.

Ken-Good luck today!!!!!!

Allie-hang in there-just a little while longer, then maybe Nigel can be here with you for Thanksgiving :)

Lisa-have you heard anything new on your case, or are you in the same waiting boat?

endoftheroad-hope you and girls are doing well and that you get to see one another soon.

Starlight-how is the progress on P3?

Oh-and I didn't have a P4, but I can see the desire to have something marked as other than P3 when P3 has been completed. How about waiting for interview? They used to have a list like this in the Sub-Saharan forum and that's what they did.

As for us, wedding date looking like October 24. No details other than that. Oh! The social security office that gave us so much hassle, got in TROUBLE!!! A woman I know works closely with the office, and she was outraged and contacted two people from the office (one of whom was the supervisor), and they had their regional director come down to the office to give them new training so that this doesn't happen again :)

Wow, that's pretty good.

Higher ups NEED to know that people have pushed people around and aren't trained properly.

I guess complaining does actually reach people in the government.

I know, who would have thought? The woman who contacted them is apparently pretty close with the two highest people in the office, and she said it sounded like they came down really hard on the office for this.

That's a good thing.

People in the government need to stop acting like they're God or always right or something.

It seems too many do.

I found a nice quote that we may like::

“Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience.”

Hi everybody!

I have been swamped with work due to quarter end. My fiance and I are so excited and it seems like he has everything ready, accept one thing which is the police clearance and they want some sponser letter before they give him the certificate. So, by Monday I will be able to get an employment letter and I can send it off to him. I never heard of such thing. I guess every country has different laws. A family member of mine may be going to India next week so I am trying to gather the documents he will need so it can be deliivered to him. I have not even had a chance to take a lunch break. Can you believe it? So, calling NVC was impossible during this week. I will call tomorrow and see the status of my petition if it even has reached the consulate. I definitely don't want to be stuck in AP. This is the latest update with my status. I hope to have some progress next week.

So everyone, how did all of you meet your fiance?

I met mine by my best friend buying his picture of some kind of park or something on this application called OWNED on Facebook...then she talked to him on MSN messenger, (she's married)so she thought i'd like him, so we started talking and well...here we are!

Allie, that's so cute :) Is he a photographer?

I think I posted this here before, but Lamine and I met while I was studying abroad in Dakar. The first time I saw him, I knew I had to get to know him. He was laughing and joking with his friends, and his smile just killed me. We met that night and got into a minor political debate (about a former president of Benin or something ridiculous like that), and we just kept talking after that. Because he worked on campus, we saw each other everyday and we started dating a few weeks later. Didn't take long for both of us to realize this was "it."

Oh-we're getting engagement pictures done soon, so I'll be posting some of those soon.

Starlight-hoping you don't get stuck in AP either!

Anyone heard from Ken?

Hope you're all doing well! Thinking about all of you today and sending happy thoughts your way.
