Just stopping in to say hi.

I hope everyone's progress is moving along smoothly.

I hope you hear something soon starlight ... with my RFE I had 3 touches from the time the case resume until the the last touch which was the approval. They did not update the status to "approved" on the website ... I actually called them and they told me we were approved and another couple days later the hard copy came in the mail. All in all I believe it was almost 2 weeks from the time the case resumed until I received the hard copy in the mail.

How I found out we were approved though is I called USCIS and spoke with the first tier Customer Rep, this is a waste of time, I politely asked to be escalated to a immigration officer who was able to give me the information. Of you request to be escalated they have to transfer you to a immigration officer. Hope that helps. Good luck !

Thanks SS that helps out a lot. I am going to give that a try and hopefully it might work.

I mentioned that today (in China) is 10/1/2009, National Day and the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

They have a huge celebration ceremony planned. Remember how spectacular the Olympic opening ceremony was? Wowie Zowie! Well, they are saying this is going to be bigger and better!

Check out the pics of the preparation to get an idea: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/09/c...ts_60th_an.html

Best of all we can watch it live on Chinese television on the web tonight:

7 p.m. - 11 p.m. (USA Central time)

Live Coverage of China National Day Celebrations

CCTV-9 (English) http://english.cctv.com/live

Schedule: http://english.cctv.com/english/tv/02/20/20090929.shtml

It will be run several times after that.

Endoftheroad, my name has 2 n's at the end

And my mom brought me my P3 today.

Mailing it back either tomorrow or Friday.

Depends if I want to take a 20 minute walk there and back tomorrow or just wait till Friday when I'm already in the area.

I sure hope we get a interview in 4-6 weeks like the rest of the UK filers around here!!

Thats my gripe of the day! I sure miss him and am getting a bit lonely out here...my stupid ex lost his job so I thought i'd be the nice person and drive him around to get some applications, he has no skills so he has to go get pissy stupid jobs around here....so far its been not quite 2 weeks and he hasnt had any success, I sure hope Nigel wont have this problem when he comes down here for good, mind you Nigel has skills and no background check problems like the stupid ex does sooooooooo, my feeling of discouragement isnt quite as bad....ahh well....

Hello everyone,

Interview-wise, Leidys and I are up next. In 48 hrs., I will be flying out of LAX into Bogotá where Leidys and I will meet up, and station ourselves 5 min. (walking distance) from the US Embassy. We have our $131 Visa fee paid, and while the US Dollar is literally plummeting on a daily basis, I hope to be in and out of Bogota before the US Dollar hits 1,500:$1.

We have all of our forms ready, I just have to make copies of some Chats and process some photographs for the Embassy Interview. Our hotel room has internet, so I will let everyone know how the interview goes.
