#######?!?! That's ridiculous.. I encountered a crazy ex situation, which was bad, but not THAT bad. I hope this all blows over. People can be so selfish and cruel...

Now we have come to the decision to delay the interview as long as possible to work out these issues, maybe a month or so. Our lives are on hold not because of the USA govt. but because of crazy people from our past.:crying:

Sorry to hear these developments, Endoftheroad. Please update as things progress... :star:

Good news from China and my girls today. They got a late September court date (so fast for China!) for the inheritance that the other family is fighting. It's ####### they are fighting my girls for the house and money they are clearly bestowed... those moneygrubbers.
:angry::angry: oooooooooooooooo makes me so mad that they are trying to cheat a 12 year old girl (my fiancee's -- and soon to be my-- daughter) out of the house and money her father left her in his will! And that we have to pay so much money for lawyers and things just to get my little girl what is rightfully hers. oooooooooooooooooooo :angry::angry:

SENT OFF MORE MONEY TODAY.

Everything will be fine just hang in there, and give them your support. I know how this can be so painful emotionally and financially. I am going through the same process just getting this freakin divorce decree. It turns out that I have to go to India in person and that is the only way I will get it asap. I maybe leaving this weekend and coming back Wednesday. It's urgent I get this document, and SO NOT looking forward to facing my past. It's not financially suitable now, but I have to do this. Anyways, I thought I would share something with you.

http://marc.ucla.edu/body.cfm?id=22&oTopID=22

There just some simple meditation techniques. It helps me when I feel stressed and overwhelmed.

Thanks Starlight95. Will you get to see your SO in India? I feel like I am living in a soap opera. Today that family actually told my girl's lawyer that they might try to get custody of my girl's daughter! That's how crazy they are. They have seen her for like 5 hours in her entire life but they want to get custody from the mother who has raised her by herself for 11 of her 12 years!!!! Obviously they know they are not going to win this court battle and they will try anything to get the little girl's money and house. Now my ex-wife is taking me to court for 5 years of FUTURE child support because she asserts that I may never come back from China and wants my passport restricted!!!! My girls and I laughed together today about all these crazy people we got involved with in the past.

Oh my gosh Endoftheroad I thought I had it worst with my ex. I wish that you did not have to delay the interview for these crazy people Since, the part of India I am going is so far away from where my fiance is. I may not even see him :crying: . It is our religious month and it is not a socially acceptable trip for me just to be going to get my divorce decree. My family do not want to advertise it to everyone. They don't want my past to haunt my future. At the same time I dependent on my dads friends and they basically are taking me to the city where my ex is and going to face him and get my legal divorce decree. I really see no reason for this as we have been legally divorced according to Indian law, but USCIS wants it with a govt stamp. But, I have to do what USCIS wants and I don't want get a denial if I submit the wrong docs. I am staying positive because I know I will be seeing him in November and I will have more time with him. Just considering this awful trip as an errand and want to get it over with. I am leaving tomorrow, and be back on Wednesday. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good morning! I'm sorry it took me so long to get back on here, but.....WE GOT THE VISA!!!! I'll post more later, but Lamine is currently sleeping safe and sound a few feet from me, and I don't want to wake him. The interview went, as you all predicted, very smoothly. Picking up the visa was an ordeal, but in the end, it all worked out. I'll write later and catch up on my reading. I hope you are all doing well and that your journeys are progressing smoothly.

Ken - Actually for Manila the beneficiary brings all documents with them on the day of the interview ... nothing is sent to the Embassy in Manila ... I needed to Fed ex her my I-134 and also I have been the one printing and saving all our communications records for "proof of our ongoing relationship. She goes to a cafe everyday for 2 hours when we talk and see each other on webcam, it is hard to save and print chat logs etc for her ... and almost every PC there at the cafe's do not have adobe reader and most of the attendents working in there have no clue how to print from emails ... so to save herself and myself headaches I have been doing it all from here and I fed ex'd the docs she needs yesterday ... 113 dolla bill yall ... but it will be there in 3 days at least.

EndoftheRoad - I really hope things work out and get ironed out for you and your SO and daughters ... we will pray for you.

Starlight - You have been a really good friend to me here on VJ ... I wish you safe travels to get the documents you need ... we all know it will be worth the painful trip now for a much happier future soon. Good luck friend .. We will pray for a safe trip and a smooth "document gathering" next few days for you! Keep me posted !!

Attaya - AWESOME AWESOME NEWS ... I think everyone here in this thread knew you two would have no problems !! I am so happy for you two .. have a wonderful life together ... when is the wedding??? !!!! Are we all invited hehe .... are you in the US now??

Allie - I can only think you will be getting out of AP really soon here ... 1 month seems to be around the max ... I wonder why UK NVC trips tend to be longer than others ... my guess it has something to do with communication between the UK gov't and the US gov't that gets the petitions hung up .. I would guess they are waiting for a response from a agency in the UK before sending it out ... anyway I really really hope you get to the Embassy soon.

Ashen - Any news on a interview date yet?

StLouis - I lost site of your progress through out this thread ... where are you and your SO at in the process ... I think last I remember is your petition got hung up at USCIS and not shipped to NVC? Or am I wrong ?

Have a wonderful weekend you all ... I am off to clean our home .. make room in the bedroom closet for Jenelyn's clothes ... get rid of throw out anything that doesn't need to be sitting around here anymore just collecting dust in corners and closets lol

attaya - I'm SSOOOOO happy to hear that!! So excited!! Can't wait to hear the stories and hear more about your wedding plans! Congrats! And enjoy your time together :D

SS - no news, thank you for asking! I just sent back packet 3 Wednesday morning. From what I've seen from others dealing with the Montreal embassy, it's taking 2-3+ months just to hear back from them with an interview date, THEN another month + on top of that. So, I'll be SHOCKED to have an interview date before Christmas... :( It's really frustrating... I'm worried that my January wedding date is out the window, which makes me sad... cause I really wanted it on 1-10-10 (for like three different reasons). Oh well, it's too soon to loose hope now, but thinking that it's less than 4 months until then makes it seem unlikely. I envision waiting for my interview to be as long as I waited for NOA2.

As for us, Leidys is super-excited, counting the days when she will see me (3 more weeks!). She talks about how she plans to learn English and learn as much as she can to be successful here. I'm very happy as well.

post-67706-1252940411_thumb.jpgWoooo HOOOOO Attaya Girl! That is freakin awesome news!

Well, I am aback in the good ole US of...... ahhh forget it. not that enthused about this country at the moment as I am still in AP. Great 10 days with my SO. I found out from another VJ member here who is in the consulate stage in Panama that we need DS-230, DS 156 and DS156K, so I took those forms with me and we filled them out. Also got her new visa pics, her certificado de solteria, and today she is getting her police certificate and long form birth certificate...so she has EVERYTHING they require and when they call her to pick up her packet 3 , she will already have it! Then just schedule the medical and interview.

I am wishing the best for Endoftheroad and Starlight in your situations and Allie thanks for the comment...you'll be out soon...I bet this week! Peace everybody!
