Lisa,

I have those dreams often....its really bad.....I hate it...you wake up exhausted....headaches...not good...hope my AP will be over soon, if its like yours, my 30 days is what...the 14th? But we'll see...i'm gonna freak if its still there by the 25th...cause that will be 30 actual work days....

I wonder whats worst waiting for NOA2 or AP.

I think the NOA2 is worse cause you don't know if your approved or not....I'm pretty sure the NVC doesn't keep or deny petitions so I suppose logically they shouldn't be too too long! I know there's nothing wrong with me or Nigel, we have clean backgrounds but we just HATE HATE HATE the wait in ANY way shape or form!!! Bad enough we've waited 3+ months for a NOA2 and then you think the next bit's gonna fly but noooooooooooooooooooooooo............there's always a hiccup in the process somewhere!! Like I said i'm gonna give it till the end of the month and then I'm gonna raise some serious NVC hell! LOL.

Yes, you are right NOA2 is the worst because you really don't know. I guess I just have to be optimistic about the rest of the process. I am not thinking I will get a denial for my NOA2, but you know how you get depressed sometimes that you can't help but bring up everything that you think will affect the process. Like what if my credit will affect my NOA2 . Or maybe that time I got pulled over for a speeding ticket like 5 years ago .

Thanks for updating me about NVC, I guess its not as easy as I though about getting out. Important things to be aware of.

Anyways, hope you guys have a good long weekend.

Well for me the long weekend is just a normal weekend for me, I work and then work Monday, nice extra holiday pay, cant complain about that! Yes with this process we just stew and stew and work ourselves into a frenzy going over and over stuff in our heads! LOL, quite comical if you step back and look but we are just so worried and dont want anything to go wrong...of course! Typical. Oh well, at least on here we can grumble all we want, which I do all the time cause I think Nigel and the rest of our families and friends are sick and tired of hearing it! Oh well ...this time next year we will laugh our butts off! I'm sure of it!

Endoftheroad: Your too far in the journey to give up. It's just like when you are running a marathon and you are so close to the finish line, but you still have to keep running. I can relate to how you feel, as I feel like that about my NOA2. I was crying thinking that its going to be so difficult to provide what they need and they will deny our case. I would hate to go through this process over again. Stay strong and think about how close you are to finishing.

I try to think of all the positives. For instance, what if I got my RFE 5 months after like others and that would really delay everything. So, just focus on all the obstacles you have overcame in the process, and you will realize that the rest of the process is a breeze.

I still remember when you told me that may not get our interviews until Jan - March 09. But, you are way ahead of the game. I have a feeling my fiance will have his interview that late. He is more patient than me :).

Then there's the hours long lovefest talks like we had again tonight and we are recharged. Emotions are so meaningful.

We have been apart about 1 1/4 years (damn economic crisis). But at least we are older adults (both in our 40s) and we are less impulsive. We know how to wait for the good stuff. But there is always that breaking point.

Last night, I had a nightmare...

Lisa, my girl has been having a certain nightmare. With her court battle for her daughter's money and house from the now dead father, she can't say she is going to the USA. Her dream goes like this. Men are chasing her for her bag. She is holding it so close to her. But they catch her and beat her so badly that they get the bag. The bag is her daughter's money/house and her secret move to the USA.

Ash - Good luck with that. Are you at the embassy where you can fax your stuff in?

Ian's filling out his forms tomorrow. There's a lot to do and bizarre questions along the way. I like the 156, where it asks for a "Spouse's name (even if you are divorced)" I wonder who wrote that question.

How was Neverland, btw?

Allie - Hang in there! Maybe we should form (or join) a book club! :) I've been thinking about taking a class... cake decorating or creative writing. Something.

End of the Road - At least I'm not the only one with nightmares. This is a rough process, and it's even worse in China, I'll bet, because it has to be secretive, and she has no ability to leave to visit you. How are your plans going to visit them?

I wonder how attaya's trip is going....

Thanks Lisa... I can't fax things in to my embassy unfortunately. :( Which means $$$ I don't have right now to mail it! Oh well. These forms are a little weird. One of them looks similar to the g-325a... seems redundant!

Neverland was kinda neat to go to. We weren't able to go inside, but there were still some people outside the gates, and people were dropping off flowers and balloons, and posters. Someone sang happy birthday while we were there. LOL They had two large 4'x8' panels that people could sign and leave messages.

I wish I could take some classes! I miss learning. lol

I'm also wondering how attaya is doing. Tuesday is the big day, right??

This process is going so fast we decided on just one trip, for the interview in October. I'll be going to try and get the China Visa this coming week.

Asking for a spouse name when you aren't married? Weird wording.

Well I finally got my NOA2. Yay

THERE WE GO, MORE GOOD NEWS! :star:

Hi guys!

I am in a dilemma and since all of you have been so supportive I could really use your opinions at this time. This is regarding my RFE as it requires me to get a document from abroad. My attorney wants to provide some other evidence because it may take a long time to provide what they actually need. I want to provide USCIS exactly what they need rather than taking risk. She is telling me that the other evidence will be suffice and I will not get a denial. Do you think I should provide what USCIS wants or listen to my attorney? I will be able to get the document, but I am not sure how soon it will arrive from India. I am so close to getting my approval. Any advice would be appreciated. I am going insane regarding this, because a denial would mean to start all over and I am so close. I don't want to screw it up now.

I am sorry your RFE is causing so much trouble.

Given I don't know what exactly USCIS asked for and what your attorney suggests, I would try to get exactly what USCIS wants. You don't want to wait because you want the approval faster? Or, you are afraid you may not get things from India before RFE's deadline? I think you should be able to call USCIS and ask for extension. If it's not possible, I would prepare what your attorney suggests just in case (and don't send it for now). At the same time, have your fiance send the document you need. Then, when it's just enough time before RFE deadline to send things to USCIS -- I guess couple of days if sending next day delivery -- you send either the required document or what attorney suggested.

Good luck! I hope you resolve it very soon!
