Quiet today....

I need to go through all the text messages that Lamine and I have sent to one another since sending in the initial I-129f petition and translate them all into English. I didn't realize how many there were... That's the project for tonight. Makes me smile, thought :)

Not much happening this week. We sent packet 3 last week, and still waiting for medical and interview dates. Now I am hoping for interview early October. We'll see. Anyways, I'm very excited about going to Holland in only 2 weeks!

About text messages, I wasn't going to prepare those or emails as a proof. I think the plane tickets and proof that we met 2 times between sending I-129f and interview should be enough? Maybe we'll include couple of phone bills. I think I am resenting the idea of showing personal messages to some strangers. Or you are not showing all text? Or, attaya_girl, you could print all April thread, and they'll be convinced without further proof :) I really wish you and Lamine easy and successful interview and that you are back in US together very soon!

K1:

NOA1: 04/06/2009

NOA2: 07/23/2009

POE: 10/25/2009

AOS & EAD:

Date sent: 11/23/2009

AOS & EAD NOA1: 12/01/2009

Biometrics done: 12/24/2009

Received RFE for I-693, although we included I-693 with AOS.

Replied to RFE with full medical

EAD approved: 01/22/2010

AOS Interview scheduled: 03/08/2010 Approved couple of days later

Woo hoo! That's exciting! My mom immigrated from Holland :) Her side of the family still lives there. Hope you have a wonderful time!

I wouldn't worry about text messages if I were you either, but Dakar is a really tough embassy, and I don't want to risk anything. I also resent the idea of showing them personal messages, but I resent the idea of not being with Lamine even more. I'm not showing really personal stuff, but I'm including messages that are border-line embarrassing they're so sappy. Oh well. Better safe than sorry.

The sad thing is that I actually did consider printing parts of this thread out :)

Hello from May!

I got an RFE on Wednesday, waiting on the hardcopy.

I guess my fiance learned the hard way that trusting "professionals" isn't always best.

True. One minute of embarrassment for lifetime of happiness, or something like this. On a more serious note, I agree it's better to be over-prepared than sorry later. Would be good if you are allowed to be present at the interview, are you? Really hope everything works out for you.

Oh your mom is from Holland, how cool! I love it there, probably the fact that my fiance is from Holland has something to do with it :)

Hi everyone!

I haven't touched base with the April group in a bit.. I think mostly because my own visa progress is at a stand still until I return to Canada next week and wait for my Packet 3. It's funny we're all at different stages now. I'm so sorry to those of you who have RFEs :( But I agree with it still being progress, though sort of sideways progress, rather than forward progress for now. hang in there! (F)

Allie, Lisa, I REALLY hope you guys get out of NVC soon! It's driving ME nuts that you're waiting there so long, same with everyone else who's at a stand still with this progress... I can't wait until we're all sharing wedding photos with each other, rather than visa process updates. lol

Congrats on the newest approval, its about time huh! My NVC wait is almost as bad as waiting for the dang NOA2 approval! I bought a couple books today to get my mind off things and may go for a late evening walk tonight, its so very very hot here in Az right now so may have to wait till sun goes down a bit....hopefully will see Nigel tomorrow morning our time for my 1 hour a week with him (boo!)he's been working about 72 hours/week banking our money for when he's here being mr.housewife for a few months! Gotta love the pound! But I sure miss him!! My best friend in Canada of 20 years who actually introduced me to Nigel said just wait till we're together for awhile maybe we'd get sick of eachother!! LOL.

Been watching some wedding video's on www.littlechapel.com, there was a couple, she was american and he was british! Thought that was cute..but he sure didnt have the same kind of accent however...I think he had a suave london accent....Nigel's accent is a cross between that and the beatles liverpool accent....but in the middle somewhat.....they call everybody "duck" kind of like us calling our loved ones or term of endearment like "dear"

Funny.........

I visited there twice. Very cool, progressive country. I took the canal tour in Amsterdam, is the boat with all of the cats living in it still there?

Dutch music is incredible - ever hear of Rotterdam Termination Source? Tiesto moved here to Los Angeles, but everyone still considers him a Dutchman. I'd love to go back there one day...
