Attaya - I think your safe to do the interview without the medical information. Even if you book the interview now you have all the time between today and the interview for the doctor to get his act together. Even if he doesn't you can take the 221g (that's the paper that Lamine will get telling him to return with his medical results) and stuff it in the Doc's face. I wouldn't delay booking your interview and when this is all over I would report the doctor's butt. "Sit-In" is not foreign to me when I want results, 9 times out of 10 it will work.

Good luck!

Actually I didn't ommit anything .. ...

I meant the definitive passport stamps showing you had been to meet her in the last two years, corroborating the plane passes etc.

Anyway, it is good news that you sent it and got confirmation the same week. Shouldn't be long now!

Just went over the fine print of the visa instructions again, and they don't actually say that we can't schedule the interview prior to the medical-they just can't issue the visa until they receive the paperwork. I'm going to be calling him everyday, though, and so is Lamine. I think that they'll give us the paperwork before the interview. Keeping fingers crossed. So, tomorrow I'll have a rough time frame of when I get to see Lamine again-hopefully. It's nerve-wracking, but I don't know what else to do. I'm sure as hell not going to wait for another month for the doctor to decide to do something.

Ahhhhhh, that makes more sense. I know that every consulate is a little different (Guangzhou seems to be the weirdest because they are so busy) so at least you can do the interview without the med papers.

At least you can do Skype video while he is in Dakar?

I sure hope so .. we've been waiting considerably longer already than the others with the similar filing date ... its depressing seeing late May approvals already as well as we sit here waiting still.

You are correct about the passport stamps .. it however only will solidify what they are already seeing from the other documents I submitted .. they really need to just add the passport as a must have requirement into their instructions ... would probably cut down on their RFE requests I am sure .... anyway nothing we can really do now but wait some more ... they have everything they need so it is just a matter of time I guess... just so frustrating when all of us just want to be with our loved one.

I was just frustrated to log on with the touch .. and was really hoping it was the famous Approval notice sent message .. but you all are right, it is a positive thing our case is being resumed but I wouldn't think it would take long for them to look at what I sent and see it conicides with what they already have.

Not to mention all passports are now bar code readable and scannable correct? I mean they must have a data base they can already look up when our pass ports are being scanned through airports ... or maybe they aren't data basing that info yet.

SS-I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how difficult this has to be. Just try to keep hold of the hope that the NOA2 is probably on its way really soon. Good luck.

I think we are all the same kind of "normal" couples on this thread and NONE of us can make actual wedding plans yet without counting our chickens before they hatch. None of us have passed our interviews yet and it is not guaranteed. Just a little reality thrown in on a Thursday evening. :)

well we can make plans but everything is still up in the air

I stopped making any plans. I just want to focus on getting the visa. I tried making wedding plans, picking a date, etc., but you know... it was just too much stress when our visa stalled at the NVC.

Still in AP. Tomorrow is my ex-husband's birthday. I think it should go then.

Good luck to everyone. SS... don't worry... you're not the only one who feels behind. I may as well live on the Vermont side of the country, at this point.

Oh, we'll pass our interviews. I don't think many legit couples get turned away at interview time. Don't you think?

Well after reading and writing on K1 boards for 2+ years now, you'd be surprised how many bonafides get rejected. That will make our PINKs so much sweeter if we can get through.

Lisa, I've done this immigration thing years ago and was on the other end of the coin (the beneficiary) and the interview is just a recapping of all the info, going over the money (of course) and them just looking you over....if you have your ducks in a row as most of us does, its no biggie, in and out pretty much. I called the NVC today and the lady said nothing to me about AP like the other guy...funny how they may just be throwing the word around maybe...oh well....

Good vibes to everyone....

They do seem to throw that word around, don't they? So tired of being stuck. Maybe we'll both be sent out tomorrow.

Neil-have fun!!! Good luck! You'll do wonderfully :)

Interview is officially set for September 8!!!! They said that we could have had an interview August 28, but I can't leave work until September 1. That still means, though, that I'll probably leave around September 3 or 4 and get to be with Lamine again!!!!    I can't believe I'm going to see that sweet face again!

I really hope that you all see progress soon. I'm going to be crossing fingers and toes that everyone gets out of NVC and get's their NOA2's soon!
