Allie, I'm sooooo sorry (F) I hope that your additional processing only lasts a day or two. I know I don't have any room to talk, but a lot of people get into AP for just a day or two, then make it quickly through the rest of the process. I hope this is the case for you. I'm so, so, so sorry, Allie. I hope that you make it through this quickly. HUGS! (F)

Lisa-any word on your case?

For those that might be interested, after 24 days of waiting for NVC to receive my case, I gave up on waiting and contacted my Congresswoman (that was on Monday). Today at day 26 while waiting on hold with NVC I decided to check the USCIS site...lo and behold it now says "on August 18th we mailed you an approval notice". So I called my congresswoman office and they told me they were in the process of sending me a letter stating that they had contacted USCIS and was informed the NVC will receive in 2-3 days. They also told me they will continue to track my case through the NVC. So my dam*n case had been sitting at CSC for 24 days! How long would it have sat had I not called my congresswoman? My advice to anyone who has waited over 20 days without NVC receiving is get your congressman or senator involved. Yano, I should be happy now...but instead I am just pissed off. But I love my Congresswoman Jean Schmidt!

As of yesterday, we are still in AP. I anticipate getting out soon ... this week or next.

Don't worry, Allie ... Sometimes AP only lasts a couple of weeks. I know it's frustrating, but it's going to be just fine! No one gets turned away from the NVC. It's just an annoying little hump. :)

Maverick-glad to hear it's finally moving.

Allie-sorry again (F)

Lisa-hope your case moves out quickly!

Ok-I feel like I have no room to complain right now, but Lamine just got his medical results (and everything checked out fine), but the doctor was out of the office when he brought back the results, so now we have to wait until the dr. calls him back to pick up the paperwork before we can schedule the interview. I know my case is moving quickly, but I was just desperately hoping that we could schedule the interview today. Now it looks like we'll have to wait a while again. The girl that took his information was not very friendly-she said that she didn't know when the doctor would call. "It could be later today, could be next week, could be in a month. I don't know." :(

If it makes you feel any better, literally from the moment NVC told us that they had received our case, they said we were in Additional Processing. The girl said that everyone goes through it, but she didn't really know what that meant. I get the feeling that the term "Additional Processing" is kind of just thrown around a bit. We weren't even there very long! Just over a week. I know it feels really lame to waste time being processed at NVC, but at this point try not to despair over Additional Processing! It may turn out to be no time at all, then you'll be off to London and you're on the last leg!

My petition left the NVC on August 6 and I am tracking a DHL package which SHOULD be the one with my package inside. Today's tracking email:

19 Aug 09 9:24 PM - Clearance delay - Guangzhou,China, People's Republic

Once it clears, things move rapidly from P3 to the interview. Normal wait for clearance is 1-3 months. So I could be waiting as long as I did for the NOA2!

moving right along

Allie - From the time your package gets to the NVC to the time it gets forwarded to the consulate is called AP so even people who's cases get forwarded the next day are told it's in AP for the one day it's in there. So don't let yourself get too upset, it's good to expect for the worst but at the same time remember to hope for the best.

Maverick - I'm glad you found out what was going on with your case!

Ian and Lisa - :( At least this is giving you lots of time to get all your stuff ready for packet 3 so once it finally gets out of the NVC this should jsut fly by.

Attaya - Woohoo on getting good news on all the medicals, did you say it was around 9 days to book an interview? How exciting!!

I've been at home alone since Monday, trying to get all my packing done and then today I just feel like doing absolutly nothing. I keep thinking about how I'm not going to have lunch with my Mom on our breaks from work anymore. That's the only thing I'm going to miss but I'm going to miss it a lot. When my family gets back from Vacation on Friday night I'll get to see them for a couple hours and then I leave at 5 am Saturday morning to pick up my fiance from the airport so it doesn't leave a lot of time for sentimental goodbyes, which for the way I'm feeling right now is probablly a good thing.

LOL....Jauque, I've always missed the eggrolls in that town....the IGA grocery store by the Prairie Mall....Boston Pizza....Hawkins Cheezies...OMG.....you should phone up my best friend in GP and meet up for coffee....funny how small the world really is....that you live there too....
