Lamine just called and he's driving through the Gambia right now and is out of the dangerous part of the road.

My girls were burglarized yesterday for the third time in six months, this time stealing the $100 battery from their ebike (1. their laptop, 2. the entire contents of her house she was renting out). On top of that the family of my girl's deceased father is trying to take all his money and house away, even though the divorce paper says it is supposed to go to my girls.

Called USCIS for an update on the NOA2 letter they said they were resending, and they said I would have to apply for a new one ($300+)! What BS!! They already told me twice before that they would resend it.

Checked the second DHL package being sent to the consulate and it is still delayed. The consulate told me to call back Monday.

BAD NEWS FRIDAY FOR US.

Yeah, hate to be the Danny Downer but we both feel so broken right now. We cannot even feel much happiness for our visa progress. I wish the best for everyone else (thanks Ken brother and Starlight95) here but our candle is flickering.

Okay, update. Just got off a 1 1/2 hour call with my girl and our candle is burning bright. We are facing much adversity but what is holding us together is our chance at being with each other very soon. C'mon consulate, do us right!

This process definitely tests every aspect of our relationships, if anything this will just make your relationship stronger and the love you have for each other. I hope you are able to see your girls again very soon have a November wedding.

Just a update on our RFE situation ... I received it in the mail today ..

They are asking for a photo copy of my passport ( Which was my guess ) and evidence of meeting in person within the past 2 years ... which I assume they are looking for the stamps in my passport. So that is great as I already have a extra copy made and ready here from when Jenelyn needed a copy for her CFO certificate .... I am thankful it is a easy quick fix and I hope the rest of our Journey goes quick and smooth now.

They are asking for a photo copy of my passport ( Which was my guess ) and evidence of meeting in person within the past 2 years ... which I assume they are looking for the stamps in my passport. So that is great as I already have a extra copy made and ready here from when Jenelyn needed a copy for her CFO certificate .... I am thankful it is a easy quick fix and I hope the rest of our Journey goes quick and smooth now.

I actually gave them 50 pictures of her and I and her family with the petition .. I am wondering if they got lost or separated from our petition or something ... I guess I am off to Walgreens now to print off some of those pics again to send in ... the bad thing is I forgot to put the setting on the camera when I was there to show the date correct .. but the RFE says they will accept non dated pictures so that is good. I think the entry/exit stamps from the Philippines is what they are really wanting.

Yes, that is essential and should satisfy them. It is proof you were in the country and along with your other proof (ticket copies, phone/chat records, pictures, etc.) you have it covered.

Thanks attaya. It was a real serious conversation. "With everything happening the way it is, are you sure you want/you want us to come to America? Really sure?" And it wasn't a straight ahead affirmative answer. Some of our lives are very complicated and it is difficult to just pack and leave. In the end we agreed to not have the conversation again and everything would move forward with them coming ASAP. Our decision is final (for now) and we look forward to their interview in Guangzhou and the three of us flying to the USA.

Can't wait to call the consulate on Monday for hopefully good news!

Good! You've got something you can quickly turn around. Did you send itineraries/boarding pass copies? That'll put a date on things, too.

BTW, we've made the "stuck at NVC" chart: http://apnvc.info/K1.html. Ian did some calculations and predicted we'd be out of AP either late next week or early the week after. It doesn't seem so awful to see that we have company and that the wait isn't ungodly long.
