Well I'm still waiting for NVC to send things off to London...we'll see....Nigel's damn tickled pink about the NOA2 I think it brought back his faith in stuff cause I think he was getting sort of discouraged or pessimistic or just in denial that this whole thing REALLY does WORK...lol.

Wow! Things are going so fast for you. I am just hoping I hear something from them at this point.

I certainly hope so. If both packages I am monitoring are "delivered" (got another email that the one that was processed today has now been delivered and signed for) this week then maybe we may be getting married IN SEPTEMBER!!! As for you, we have got out of the way so that you Mayers can be processed quicker. Just you wait and see... any day now!

Really happy for you and Nigel now that you are on a daily watch. "Days between NVC receiving info and actual interview in the UK=64 days"

Good luck!! I am sure they will send it to London soon, and good to hear that Nigel is more confident in the process. It's probably too good to be true. I am sure it is a good feeling to have the NOA2 and have things moving along. Btw they are working on May 15 filers now. I have a few more weeks to go.

ashenflowers, that's great news about NVC! Congrats!

SomedaySomehow, any news on RFE? Hope everyting is going well.

Not as of yet ... the email said they mailed it on August 11, 2009. I don't expect it any earlier than tomorrow ... I am not sure how long they usually take to get to the door step ... I assume they send mail out on a daily basis so hopefully tomorrow.

I just hope it is something easy, something she doesn't have to send to me would be nice ... takes at least a week and a 50 dollar bill to fed ex something here from the Philippines.

Grats to all those having a nice fast smooth process ... at the rate our petition is moving the May and June filers will be together before Jenelyn and I :(

Just stay positive I am sure you will get the RFE in the mail soon. I am positive it is probably a minor detail that you missed. It seems like you had all the evidence submitted. I would not worry much, once you provide what they are asking for you will have your NOA2 by no time. I still think you are going to be with your fiancee sooner than you think. I am a end of the month May filer, and it seems like I have a long way to go. Don't let this RFE discourage you.

Speaking of updates, NVC received our case yesterday! hurrah!!! I have my new case #, which I believe I can use for booking my medical, and they said I can just email them to change my address!!!

The NVC can change your address over the phone. They did that with Ian's address. It takes them 2 weeks to get to their email.

I was talking with them on the phone when they told me to do it via email. ?

When I initially called the NVC, the call was for the purpose of finding out if Ian's address change that I put through to USCIS was made. After asking what the address should be, and I read it to them, they said, "No, it hasn't." I said, "Well, how do I go about changing the address?" And she said, "I can do that for you over the phone". I read it off, she input the change.

Before that, I had sent an email asking the same question. It was July 23rd. I got a response back via email 2 weeks later saying, "yes, the address change was done".

I suppose it can be done either way. I would guess NVC and the embassies all use the same database.

hmmm that's strange.. cause I was just calling to ask if they had our case yet, then told them I want to change my address, and asked how I could do it. She actually told me they CAN'T just do it on the phone. Sounds like a conflict of information within the same system. Shocking! I have to call back anyways to find out when they actually send our stuff to Montreal, so I guess I'll ask someone else about the address change again. I sent off an email today, so maybe they can cross reference (doubtful, but who knows). I wonder if it made a difference that I was the beneficiary calling, and not the petitioner? I dunno. Quite frustrating though, because once it gets to the consulate, I don't want to run the risk of them sending something to my old address if NVC can't get their act together and update it. :ranting:

Foreigners are calling in and changing the mailing addresses on petitions of US citizens? Doesn't seem right and something that should not be allowed. Seems ripe for fraud.

It sounds like the beneficiaries are calling NVC, as either the petitioner or beneficiary can, to change the beneficiaries address so that when the consulate receives the package from NVC, package 3 from the consulate will be sent to the correct address of the beneficiary.

Don't know if that is correct, but if only a US citizen is allowed to submit a petition for entry to the US, it seems like only that person should be able to make changes to it. Otherwise the chances for fraud are elevated. This is my opinion, an April NOA1er. I don't want anyone making a change to my petition but me, a US citizen.

Your best bet is to call NVC about an address change for the beneficiary, to catch the petition before it heads to the consulate so that you can ensure that the beneficiary will actually receive Packet 3 if they have moved. At least at NVC you get to speak to a live person, most consulates do not have that option.

I understand what you are saying, but NVC has allowed the petitioner OR the beneficiary to call about the status of your case. They were very friendly with me and I was the beneficiary, and they usually asked a few questions to confirm who was calling, sometimes not though, and just ask for the WAC # .

Well today is officially the end of three weeks since my NOA2 approval, and after 21 days NVC still says they have not received my case. At this point I guess I am going to have to consider that my case has been lost or I am actually in AP without a NVC case number. I actually believe the latter. It makes no sense that the majority of people have their cases received at NVC in about 2-10 days. The people say at NVC it can 2-4 weeks but also up to 90 days......90 days?????????????? I am wondering if there are any VJ members who have gone past 3 weeks for NVC to receive? This sux.
