HILARIOUS:

http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4673 <--- Things to do before SHE arrives

Kinda surprised that no one had a comment on this list ^^^^^^^^

Been following two DHL packages that left the NVC around the time our case did.

ONE CLEARED TODAY!!!

(the other one is still in clearance delay)

If the package that cleared has our case in it then we are fast tracking!!!! Packages normally take 3-4 months to clear there.

Fingers crossed it is your package :)

Thanks stlouis, I would consider that a miracle! How's your package doing, at the consulate yet?

Our package was delivered to the consulate yesterday!! There was only one package to Amsterdam on that date, so it should be ours. My fiance called today for the address chage, they did not have the package yet -- so probably not delivered to the desk. Getting very impatient and waiting for packet 3.

Not as of yet ... the email said they mailed it on August 11, 2009. I don't expect it any earlier than tomorrow ... I am not sure how long they usually take to get to the door step ... I assume they send mail out on a daily basis so hopefully tomorrow.

I just hope it is something easy, something she doesn't have to send to me would be nice ... takes at least a week and a 50 dollar bill to fed ex something here from the Philippines.

Grats to all those having a nice fast smooth process ... at the rate our petition is moving the May and June filers will be together before Jenelyn and I :(

Maybe something she can scan in and email to you. They shouldn't need original copies of anything unless it's her biometric forms or perhaps her letter of intent. I think they could do things a bit differently, like put on the online note what the problem is. Just like petitions should get to NVC in a scanned state, then sent electronically to the embassy. Things would be much speedier.

My update: AP. still. :crying::crying:

The NVC can change your address over the phone. They did that with Ian's address. It takes them 2 weeks to get to their email.

My status never changed after the touch. Online status shows touch on Jul 24th (still says pending), but NOA2 hardcopy says Jul23. I think touch sometimes means they sent you a hardcopy next day. It also can mean anything else. Hope your NOA2 is coming in the mail! :)

When I initially called the NVC, the call was for the purpose of finding out if Ian's address change that I put through to USCIS was made. After asking what the address should be, and I read it to them, they said, "No, it hasn't." I said, "Well, how do I go about changing the address?" And she said, "I can do that for you over the phone". I read it off, she input the change.

Before that, I had sent an email asking the same question. It was July 23rd. I got a response back via email 2 weeks later saying, "yes, the address change was done".

I suppose it can be done either way. I would guess NVC and the embassies all use the same database.

I'm coming very close to my wit's end. I booked my medical appointment Monday and the website said they would confirm within 72 hours. They have not confirmed, I've e-mailed and called but they don't have a live answer telephone and they didn't respond to my e-mail, so I really have nothing that I can do. I'm wondering if maybe my e-mail goes into their spam folder or something, maybe the forms are broken and didn't submit the way they are supposed to... I don't want to fill out another one and have them double book me or disregard me altogether.

YAY for making it to the NVC Ashen, and boo for being stuck in AP Ian & Lisa, that really sucks.
