I was only gone at work for a few hours but it looks like today has really been hopping!

I've almost got all my stuff ready for the interview, just need to take the passport pictures and make print's of a few digitals for the interview.

Oh right and then of course I have to pack up everyhting I own and squeeze it in my van, small potato's.

Getting an itchy mailing finger with the P3. It is ready and waiting for the govt. notice to be received. It will go same day courier from Nanning to Guangzhou (a few hours away) as soon as we are allowed to send it. We are so ready, thanks to our advisor, that we are just waiting for the government to catch up.

Note: our consulate is one of the busiest in the world.

... The only thing I worry about is his birth certificate... they made him older than he actually is...

Gee, no birth cert problems in China (see the Beijing Olympics Chinese woman's gymnastic team controversey  )

We don't have a birth cert problem but our girl entered school after homeschooling with mom and they screwed up her school age. So she is two years ahead of my son who is the same age. We completely expect that she will be placed into her age group year in the US school, same grade as my son. (both will be "our's" soon) Just funny how this stuff gets mangled.

You're comment just made me laugh and calm down. Thank-you :) I needed someone to say something like that. It's just so bizarre to me that you can just march into an office and say that you are however old you want to be.

My sister in law had the same sort of thing when she was a school aged girl. From what I recall of the story, she was small for her age, so her parents said she was 2 years younger than she really is. I think she has some of her ID in one year, and some in another!

19 days now after NOA2 and STILL no NVC receive...BOOOOOOO!

NVC seems to be moving in bizarre ways lately. Only 2 packets were shipped out from NVC to embassies on the 11th. Nothing today yet.

Lisa, how do you check whats been sent out by the NVC?

"Once you know the date NVC sent off the file, track it at DHL's website: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef For the reference code, enter EXP 10 AUG 2009A (adjust using dates around the date NVC told you), with a shipping range of that day to a few days later (Aug 4 - Aug 10 worked for the example above). Look for shipments to your beneficiary's embassy."

You'll see the 2 that went out on August 10. Normally, there are 50 or more going out. :(

Congrats to all of you moving along the journey. I am impressed at the speed. Good news for us May 09 filers at CSC is that they are finally moving a bit faster. There has been so many approvals this week. Also, it was a strange day I had just inquired a few weeks back to my congresswoman on the process and if she can be of any assitance to me if I past the 4 month mark. Today I recieved a call from her office regarding a conference call with other constituents on a different issue. I had an opportunity to ask a question, but immigration was not the topic at this time. I am glad that they finally made some contact so I have help available if I need it.

Check A, B, and C

EXP 10 AUG 2009A

EXP 10 AUG 2009B

EXP 10 AUG 2009C

Also, check a couple days before and a couple days after. There was nothing on A for me on any dates but lo and behold, there was one on B and one on C.

Good morning, everyone!

I hope that everyone starts seeing progress with NVC, packet 3's, and NOA2's soon.

Just realized that the estimated visa wait times on the embassy don't apply to K visas. I don't think K's are very far off of that time, but it can't have has me rethinking at what point Lamine needs to call in the interview. We were trying to time it so that he would call the week of the 24th (the week I have to be at work), and we were counting on an interview withing a week/ week and a half of then. We'll see.

Barely staying at work this morning. Time to get a LOT of coffee :)

And....It's almost Friday!

Ken, I'm so happy for you guys!! I was just thinking about you yesterday, wondering if you'd had any progress.

Leidys is really excited. Dropping in on my Facebook page, she told her parents and family yesterday about the great news! She's super excited, her family is sad to see her moving on, though. Today, I have to wire funds so she can get some paperwork completed on her end, and also have vaccines taken care of. As they say in California, "We're stoked!!"

HILARIOUS:

http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4673 <--- Things to do before SHE arrives

Kinda surprised that no one had a comment on this list ^^^^^^^^

Been following two DHL packages that left the NVC around the time our case did.

ONE CLEARED TODAY!!!

(the other one is still in clearance delay)

If the package that cleared has our case in it then we are fast tracking!!!! Packages normally take 3-4 months to clear there.
