Hi guys we filed at the end of April. I'm new here and I went through this topic. It seems that ppl filing at CSC are already getting approved but i didnt see anybody that filed at the VSC. I hope we have the samme luck as you do guys congrats to everybody already approved and good luck to all of us still waiting :clock:

I have a friend that filed in March with VSC, and he has not heard a word yet on his NOA2. You can imagine how bad he feels (not to mention his SO!). Congrats on everyone here. Things really seemed to drag in July, but they certainly picked up this month for so many of us.

I feel kinda guilty  Wish everyone got quick interview dates.

Kind of starting to freak out about the interview. Trying to stay calm and pray that everything goes smoothly.

Don't freak out Lamine. Just tell him he is strong and he will do fine. Just make sure he knows the answers to all the questions!

Don't feel guilty! You guys have gone a long time without being together. :) I'm excited for you!! And don't freak out. Everything will be ok, if you both just stay calm and be honest. You don't have any issues that would work against you. Everyone says the interview is the easiest part!

Thanks guys.

endoftheroad, thanks for the interview questions.

I haven't said anything to Lamine about me freaking out. I've told him that everything will go smoothly and that we just need to be honest about everything. The only thing I worry about is his birth certificate. It's really common in Senegal, but they didn't issue a birth certificate when he was born--his family requested one when he was 13 or 14 and they made him older than he actually is. It's impossible to change it (as of 2007), but it's such a bizarre concept to me that I'm worried. We've gone over it a million times-we can't change it. It's official public record, but it still concerns me a little.

Maverick-I hope they get your petition soon.

Lisa-any word on the AP process (sorry if I missed it earlier)

Hope everyone is well!

Ken, congratulations with NOA2!!!

attaya, it's so great it all went smooth and you can schedule an interview soon!

endoftheroad, hope your petition arrives to embassy very soon. I think ours arrived, if the one that I was tracking with DHL was actually ours. Email notifications and most of sms notifications also worked for me :)

So much happened in this thread since yesterday! I wish everyone a productive (immigration-wise) Wednesday!

Gee, no birth cert problems in China (see the Beijing Olympics Chinese woman's gymnastic team controversey  )

We don't have a birth cert problem but our girl entered school after homeschooling with mom and they screwed up her school age. So she is two years ahead of my son who is the same age. We completely expect that she will be placed into her age group year in the US school, same grade as my son. (both will be "our's" soon) Just funny how this stuff gets mangled.

You're comment just made me laugh and calm down. Thank-you :) I needed someone to say something like that. It's just so bizarre to me that you can just march into an office and say that you are however old you want to be.

In Guangzhou it is common knowledge that they use DHL as their storage space and the petitions never clear until they are ready to be processed. So I fully expect to be waiting for clearance for at least a month, then find the interview is a month later.
