Seems we are stuck at CSC.. Day 113 and still counting. It has been touched three times, the 27 & 28th of July and now just recently 10 August.. But yet.. Still No NOA2.. those in this thread have been getting approved an average of 85 days... Just wondering what is happening.. This is really, really frustrating..

I was there for over 100 days, too. Hang in there!

Sigh ... I can't imagine what they are going to ask for ... only thing I can think of is I didn't include a photo copy of my passport ... but included all airline tickets/ boarding passes / iterneries / hotel receipts etc ... and a original birth certificate ... I was all excited yesterday for the approval finally and yet we get this just to add more waiting waiting time ... pisses me right off this process ..

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

That is bizarre. My impression is that they should not need your full passport if you've sent your birth certificate. The full passport is only for identification.

It'll be interesting to hear what they could possibly need.

It's hard to keep up with you guys. All of you ar so way ahead of me...lol. But, I am sure the feeling is great to be speeding through this journey.

Wait until a couple months from now when you notice the (for the sake of this example) October thread and you feel so bad for all the people in there who still have so long to go. You start wishing that they has applied when you did so they could be getting their approvals now. I often wonder if the people who applied in January look at the April filers thread and think that.

Sometimes I look in the January thread and think how lucky they are that they are either in the US now and/or married already. Does that count? :)

I do think about people who filed later and think about the wait they've got ahead of them.

I didn't even think of that, I do recall having looked jealously at the february filers thread when they were getting approved like crazy at like the 30 day mark. And then it just stopped right after we submitted our petition. Glad things are moving again! I looked through the first couple pages of this thread the other night and it was kind of like watching people go from freshman to seniors, I lol'd.

Actually, I know we all don't want RFE's. But, they are actually something I would look forward to. It usually means that they are waiting for your response, and according to what I have been seeing you got approved within a VERY short time. At least you have heard from them, theres a few poor March filers that have not heard anything. Find out what it is, and you will get approved in no time.

Thank you all, you always have a positive way of looking at this journey. Yeah, maybe I should start looking at the August filers and be happy I got my NOA1 already. I think you April 09 filers rock!!!! This is more of the happening place in here, as everbody is so lively. I do go and visit my fellow May 09 filers, but all of you April 09 filers give me more faith in the system. I even go visit the March 09 filers and I have learned the necessary steps to take if you don't get approved my 4 months. It's funny each monthly thread has a unique story. So, far you April 09 filers are the ones getting the most action :). I hope you all will visit us May 09 people sometimes soon, and give us the positive energy :).

I do recall as a January filer looking at the February filers and being jealous that they got approved in 30 days some of them! When mine was like 60 something, I remember thinking...why didn't I just file in February! lol! Alot of the January filers are already married, but some are still waiting on visas, or just waiting in their home country to move and get married. One January filer is getting married the same weekend I am! Hehe probably why I am hanging around all the other month threads and lurking in the AOS threads to find out what I have in store and processing in the next 2 months after I marry.

Good plan! I've heard from a few people that gathering the AOS info/filling out the forms is some work. I haven't really explored that much yet.

Oooo... The wedding is coming! :) Any idea when you're flying/driving in?

No DHL alerts yet today  (I started them about 8 hours ago and it is not even noon 8/12 yet in China) so I made some hummous, yummy!

I'm not sure DHL did much Tuesday. Only 2 packets went out of the NVC. Maybe it was a DHL holiday (or an NVC one)

Hummus is good!

Yes, i suppose it may be a good idea to get the i-130 and the i-485 going....i've got that book on fiance/spouse immigration from NOLO from the library (yes its the latest) lol. So I am going to read that and then cross reference it here....i guess it should be a good idea for to have that going and ready for when he comes over being we will be busy with wedding, then bank accounts, etc....changing names on everything....looking forward to getting rid of this last name of mine now...lol...he wants to ask the customs/border people about the work permit when he crosses...some say certain ones give one out first thing...i told him he may not be able to...have to wait to submit it with the i-130 stuff. Soooo we may have a crabby boy who cant work for a few months....awwww........i may have a re-modeled house by the time we adjust status...LOL. Anyways, its 5:34am, the future mother in law buzzed in on Skype and chatted with me....at 74 i think she forgets the time difference! However my fault for leaving Skype on but its so Nigel can buzz in at any time...whatever............

Lisa-I will be driving into Omaha mid to late September! I cannot wait to get the heck outta dodge! lol!

I am not looking forward to the AOS stuff, it should be pretty simple most of it, I am just worried about the I-693 and whether to get my vaccination stuff transcribed. I haven't started calling local CS in the Omaha area, I hope they aren't all overpriced and say that I need to redo my entire medical. *Sigh* Maybe I'll use Dr. Arnold, but I am worried if we get an AOS interview that they may question why we used a doctor in TX rather than in NE. I remember reading someone's AOS review and they did use Dr.Arnold and were questioned why they used him because they do not live in TX. From the sounds of the review the interviewer was more interested in what they said about the local civil surgeons prices and what they were told about having to redo the entire medical. I am not going to redo the medical unless RFE'd for it, its absolutely ridiculous that a local CS can get away with setting their prices @ 500 a pop!!
