I'm hoping mine will be soon............its ####### that people with the same timelines get approved and i'm sitting here! We didnt have anything too complicated and I'm sure I put what I needed in there! Even a flipping RFE would be nice then I can just fix it or just approve me already! Not telling Nigel about all these approvals, it would just make him more antsy ...........ahh well...thats the rant of the day..........hope everyone's day is going well!

Sorry Allie,

I seriously think you will get yours soon. Did you sign up for email notification? If we hadn't, we still wouldn't know we had our NOA2, because my fiance hasn't received the hard copy in the mail. I really think you'll get yours some time in August. Don't fret! Just look at what the next steps are and see if there's anything else that you can prepare in advance :)

Allie, it will come soon. Even if you did sign up for e-mails, you might not ever get one. My case had been touched a few times, and I still haven't received an e-mail, and my case still says received and pending. Sometime real soon, you'll open your mailbox or your e-mail, and you'll see something from USCIS, and it'll be the NOA2 and then you can jump up and down with joy instead of tantrums :) Hang in there. Crossing my fingers for you.

yeah I didn't even get a touch until I checked after we got the email. I don't think I checked on the 2nd or the 3rd though, but even so, it says the last touch was the 4th now. lol So it's weird. Such an unreliable system!

Yes, i did put in for the email and I check online every day........soooooooooo, just have to sit tight i guess....busy today, registering my 14yr old for school, dentist this afternoon for her, thinking about taking my cat to the vet for a urinary problem she's always had...again and again...no money for that so may think about putting her down in the near future, not liking that but whatever...she's 9 years old....so i am busy nonetheless, very hot here in southern Arizona today, 106F today and the rest of the week about that, we're absolutely cooking with the heat in this house!! So we're swimming next door for a few hours every evening, then go home to the heat and bbq, keeping Skype on....lol........my family in Canada are all laughing at me cause they are nice and comfy in their 70F or so weather in Alberta....but i'll get them! I laugh at them at their -40 winters and I just say, oh its warm here bbq'ing in our shorts and tshirts, hahahaha! So i guess i'm paying for it now! Should be good for Nigel cause when he gets here it will be at least November maybe, so that will be lovely weather! Keeping y'all posted...........

It was really cold her over the last couple days between 5 and 10 degrees at night (I'm not sure the ferenheit conversion on that). It's a double edged sword it's so hot that I can hardly breath in Kansas but then I come back to good ole Alberta and it's so called at night that I'm shivering. Even when theres thunderstorms and flash floods it still doesn't get cold in Kansas, which is a plus right about now.

I wrote ASAP on my consulate interview request sheet, but I'm worried that ASAP might end up meaning next week and I would not be prepared for that. I'm going off the timelines that show appointments being about a month after you return your packet 3 but now I'm wondering if its that way because people are requesting them that way? Any ideas?

Oh my goodness, I just had a sudden panic attack that maybe NVC already received my info and sent it to the Dakar embassy and now I don't have my case number....I know that that is sooo unlikely, but do they send you a letter as well? I just got to thinking about those of you who said that a package was sent to Dakar and suddenly worried that maybe that was us....I know I'm ridiculous.

So I was doing my 603 334-0700-press 1-press 5 workout this morning, you know, asking for my NVC number and turns out they received my case yesterday! I got my NVC number and I jokingly asked if the case had been sent out yet. The NVC lady laughed and said not yet, give us just a little more time. I laughed and said, okay, talk to you later this afternoon and we both laughed. I have found the NVC people to be very polite and personable.

The NVC sends you a letter via snail mail when they send your case to the consulate. Theres a form letter on here about asking the consulate to open a temporary case file and if you could do that you could probablly use the temporary case to change his adress. But thats likely creating needless stress and concern for no good reason. I'm sure your case is sitting in some NVC processers inbox just waiting for him to pull his finger out of his.... well you know.

I agree they were all really nice. When I called yesturday and asked her if she could give me the DHL tracking number on my package she acted like I was crazy and told me they don't have tracking numbers and that they don't use DHL.

Great!

I'd start doing the daily 1-800-375-5283 workouts if I were you. No telling if you'll get an email notification. "Hello, my USCIS receipt number is xxxxxxxxxx and I need to know the date my petition was approved and if it has been sent to National Visa Center yet."

I'm going nuts right now listening to a lawyer brag about how his "beautiful, blue-eyed, blond haired, tall Canadian girlfriend" is related to a celebrity so they gave her an O-1 visa and they just let her stay in the country. It's kind of discouraging to hear about other people walking through the system based on loose connections!
