Hey (me again  )

But i called the hot line for questions in regard to some questions i had. i had just recievd all 3 NOA1s for AOS and couldnt get them online yet.

Anyway i got through to one of the many ppl who take the calls who basically just repeat whats in the screen in front of them. She couldt bring my info up so she put me on hold and put me through to someone else and it was an actual immigartion OFFICER!!!

He told me that the people that we speak to only have a limited amount of info and are not allowed or are not given the whole database. the reason its the person could not retrieve my info and the reason why i coulnt see it online was cuz it sometimes takes a while for everything to be updated. But he looked and said all my info was there and correct even though i couldnt see it on internet as we are also only subjected to the limited database.

Wish i had thought of more questions to ask him!!there was times when waiting for the k1 approval that all i wanted to do was speak to an actual immigration officer and find out exactly what goes on there haha :star:

Your profile show you are applying for a K1, if you are now applying for AOS you maybe should update your profile.

The 1-800 line is a call center and they are well known for giving out incorrect information.

yes i know....thats why i was saying it was impressive i got through to an officer. An officer doesnt give out incorrect info, the call centre does

USCIS officers DO give out incorrect information. There are 100's of posts about incorrect info that people have been told by USCIS officers both at their local office and from the 1-800 line.

You called the misinformation line and after all that you learned exactly what you already knew from the I-797C's. The system is frequently not updated and basically amounts to a waste of the tax dollars the government confiscates from our paychecks. My wife has her green card and our I-129f is still listed as "received and pending". I feel no need to update them. The online system has nothing to do with your case being processed or not.

The next notice you will receive is the biometrics appointment, then the interview (some people do not get an interview).

Good luck
