Package 3

I have been waiting for a week and a half for my packet 3 to arrive by mail, I e-mailed the Montreal Consulate who told me that if it isnt here by Friday they will send out another one. ( mail is only supposed to take 4 days to get to me from Montreal). Anyways I am just wondering is there somewhere where I can find the checklist and the form I need to fill out online so that I can get a start on this and send it back right away since I have already wasted 2 weeks waiting for this stupid package?

I live in Nova Scotia and it took almost two weeks for my packet 3 to come. Snail mail...

There are no real forms... the checklist is simple... but it asks you to get prepared for things like:

* make arrangements for your medical, call and get an appmnt

* Get a police clearance from any locals you have lived for more than 6 months (I got one pulled in York Region Ontario $40, and it searches RCMP all of Canada)

* Complete the DS-160 On-Line (print 2 copies of app and 2 copies of confirmation page)

* get 5 passport type photos taken (US size 50mmx50mm)

* Long form Birth Certificate needed (you can order on line in 5 bus days)

* passport must be valid for more than one more year

* if you were married, divorce docs needed

A little piece of advise, I ordered my BC and Passport both only 2 weeks turn around... but looking back now, I should have sent my P3 back the day after I got it... I waited a MONTH before sending it back.... so if you get on the above stuff, you can send your P3 checklist pretty fast... and this past month or so, interviews got scheduled pretty fast so the good thing, even though I sat on my P3 for 4 weeks, I got an interview within 3.5 weeks of hen rec'ving my P3 checklist...

Ty so much for your help! I talked to the montreal consulate and the post office who both said 4 days to get here, still waiting though, and montreal is sending a new packet today I did end up filling the DS160 online so I got a head start. Excited about the quick interview... I go to Brock and my exams are over on the 21st so after that i'm just going to be waiting to leave lol so the sooner the better.
