2 different receipt numbers. Is this normal?

Hi I just noticed that the receipt number to my I-751 online is different to the one on my NOA 1 year extension letter. Is this normal or is this cause for alert? Pls help.

[00] 01/15/12---N-400 Filed/Mailed Lewisville, TX Lockbox

[03] 01/18/12---N-400 Delivered @11.22AM Express mail (PD)

[05] 01/20/12---NOA Issued/Email & Text @10.43PM

[08] 01/23/12---Check Cashed

[09] 01/24/12---NOA Received by Mail

[11] 01/26/12---FP Notice Issued: Email/SMS ---@12.45PM

[15] 01/30/12---FP Notice Received by Mail

[33] 02/17/12---FP Appointment-Done!

[44] 02/28/12---In-line for Interview sched Email/SMS

[51] 03/06/12---Interview Scheduled Email

[54] 03/09/12---Interview Letter

[86] 04/10/12---Interview Date PASSED/APPROVED!!

[88] 04/12/12--Oath Scheduled Email & Text

Called USCIS and got OD info

[92] 04/16/12--Oath Letter Received

[102] 04/26/12-Oath Date I'm A USC!!

NOA 1 yr extension letter number (receipt number) is diffrerent than the biometircs number (application number). I believe you are using the biometrics number to track online. If they're different, that's normal.

N-400

5/29/2010 - USPS Express Mail Out N-400

6/2/2010 - Priority date

6/9/2010 - Check cashed

6/11/2010 - NOA in my mail box

6/17/2010 - Able to see case status "Initial Review"

6/18/2010 - LUD

7/2/2010 - Called mis-information line to put in a service request for STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED "FP NOTICE"

7/8/2010 - LUD, at 2:32am, received text msg and e-mail for req. for add'l evidence being mailed out on July 6th, believe it's for the FP

7/12/2010 - Received FP notice in mail, scheduled for 8/2/2010

7/15/2010 - Walk in FP

7/22/2010 - Online status changed to "Case sent to local office for interview schedule"

7/27/2010 - Received interview letter for 8/23/2010

8/23/2010 - Passed interview, was informed that next oath date is 9/22/2010 and oath letter will come in the mail

9/3/2010 - Received oath letter in the mail for 9/22/2010

That's correct. Use the "new" number that came on the biometrics letter for inquiries and online tracking. First number won't work for such.

I never have figured out why they give you 2 numbers and the first one is useless.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

That's correct. Use the "new" number that came on the biometrics letter for inquiries and online tracking. First number won't work for such.

I never have figured out why they give you 2 numbers and the first one is useless.

Here's what I think (don't know if it's true): the first NOA number is generated once they took a quick look and everything seems ok, they want to send that out right away so people with almost expired GC have proof of eligibility as early as possible. The biometrics/application number is generated after they input all the information into the computer and actually put our file in queue.
