You authenticated it last 2005? Meaning your birth certificate was issued from your local Municipal and was authenticated at the NSO? The birth certificate requirement should be issued by the NSO in a yellow paper(?) and had a barcode at the bottom, as long you had this kind of birth certificate then you're fine.

Was it issued by the NSO? Yellow with barcode? If yes, then don't worry you're good to go.

I suggest you get a new authenticated copy; I requested a new copy when I'm still processing my application for visa (even I already have one 2-years prior which I got from the Regional NSO office to get a passport).

Its a good thing that I did - I found out that the Regional Office failed to forward my birth certificate to the Main Branch since my birth!!! I noticed that the authenticated copies have different colors for different years - just to be safe that you have the latest copy and to check that the Main Branch can locate your record.

Good Luck!

Never ever say never

i had mine on green color not sure what year it was... some said better go with whatever the NSO is using (they change color)... so two weeks before my interview i got a new one and it was yellow... they actually kept it. so good thing i have an extra now... for aos purposes and good to have a BC w/ u also... good luck!!!

As long as your BC is on a security paper ( that's the yellow paper) then that should be valid forever unless NSO decides to change the paper to be used.
