Hello all,

My brother has got a green card visa from the DV lottery and will enter to the US this month.

Since he does not understand English very well can you please tell me what forms he should fill when he arrives at the JFK airport? I am thinking to fill a sample for him beforehand but don't know which are the forms as I don't live in the US either.

At the immigration queue should he go at US/Greencard or at the visitors queue since he has only the visa and not the GC yet?

Many thanks.

It doesn't matter - We have used both lines - citizens as well as visitors depending on which line was shorter. Never had any issues (I am a citizen my wife is a GC holder).

Good Luck to your brother. On this visa lottery - how does he support himself till he settles down? Does he have relatives or friends that will help him?

Thank you for your reply. He will be going to NY where we have a relative. Indeed it will not be an easy time until he settles there, finding an house, finding a job or attend some training first. Anyway he has set some money aside so finding a reasonable rent will be the main thing and then look for the rest.
