Based on my reading, I have determined that I do NOT need the I-134 notarized. Is this accurate?

Currently, I am well above the poverty line, which I think means I only need to fill in info on the form regarding my salary, correct?. However, I'm a bit fuzzy on the supporting evidence. What specific supporting evidence do I NEED in my case? The W2 my employer sent me in January? My last few pay stubs (how many if so)? A letter from my employer? Anything else? I read the instructions, but I suspect I don't actually need all of the evidence listed. If I do, fine, but I want to be sure.

ขอบคุณครับ

correct, you do NOT need I-134 notarized.

correct, you only need to list income...just leave blank the other lines (like savings, assets, etc,) since you are not using those n do not need to.

It is recommended you have your W2 for past 3 years (so, '06, '07, '08).

Save pay stubs maybe for a month or two up to the interview. (they want as current as possible to prove u still work there). some ppl provide the last 6 months of pay stubs, but i think this is overboard.

Letter from your employer.

Tax transcripts for past 3 yrs (06'-08).

You may not need all that, but you might, so thats what i'm sending my SO. thats pretty much it!

oops, i didnt realize this was the Asia forum. Well, it may be the same there as for UK. Hope somebody will correct me if i'm wrong, but i gather its pretty similar at most embassies.

Last 3 YEARS of W2s?! I certainly do not have that, only this past one. I had no reason to hang on to past years W2s of all things, so I tossed those long ago. Getting tax transcripts is easy, you can ask the IRS to send you those. I would think that if you have tax transcripts that you don't need any W2s, since tax transcripts come directly from the IRS and show everything on your W2 and more.

A person's individual tax return (including supporting schedules and attachments) should be permanently retained. You have now discovered a reason to hang on that stuff...

YMMV

Guess that means it's time to start asking for reprints of my last 2 W2s. Sigh. I took the first response to mean that I do NOT need a letter from my current employer, correct? I seem to remember reading some threads about people mentioned that this was needed, but I don't remember the context.

The current income / resources is what is important for the I-134 & I-864.

An employer letter, if wages are an income source, along with the current pay stubs shows the likelihood of ongoing earnings.

The 134 is a short term document, it "dies" when status is adjusted. The 864 is used at AOS. Prepping for the 864 will give you all that's needed for the 134.

just get IRS transcripts of your filed returns... much easier

the evidence requirement is established at the consulate... BKK may want things different that say Kiev, Sydney or London

YMMV

Hi guys I posted a question on different thread but I came here to ask you guys for any input regarding W2. I made lower salary past years (before filing for K1) than what I make now. Therefore if I submitted my last W2s as supporting docs of I-134 for my fiancee,it will then showed what I got past years. Will it be an issue at the interview? What I make now is qualified , it is above the poverty line required.

Will the CO only look for my current income now on making the decision or will the lower salary in the past years affected the visa issuance?

Please guys, any input and repsond from you is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

To which instructions are you referring? If instructions from the embassy in BKK, I would recommend that you do EXACTLY what they say. I am assuming that you have reviewed the attached file.
