nvc i130 upgrade please help am confused

i filed i130 for my spouce in jan 13 2006 as permanet resident.i filled for citizen ship on sept 2008 and had my oath today 03/31/2009.i did not waste even single day so went to post office sent upgrade request with copies of my certificate .i also called uscis and lady answered the phone and took all my deatails for the upgrade.went to work i just got home am finding approval notice for my spouse i130.

please help=can i just send letter to nvc without any notice or receipt to request upgrade because the one i sent today will definately miss since i130 was approved on 03/24

or do just wait for notice from nvc then use their ref or receipt number to send upgrade

I am not sure if I am correct on this but my advise is to wait until NVC assigns you a case number and they got your file from USCIS. You did good to send the documents over though; and if USCIS can insert them along the way to NVC - it will be perfect.

When your case is assigned, please tell NVC rep to obtain the Citizen papers that you sent to USCIS. While they are at it, go ahead and send them your copies as well. Please do write on each copy you are sending NVC - the USCIS case number; the NVC case number and the petitioner name.

You may need to contact NVC or USCIS regard your I130 approval since NVC will not process your I130 visa since they are still believe you are LPR.

my husband filled petition for me when he was LPR Oct.18, 2005!

he filled N400 for naturalization last year of oct. 2009 and he finally have his naturalization certificate march 19, 2009!

he sent copy of naturalization cert. and letter asking for the upgrade of petition.also he called USCIS april 1 2009. they give him confirmation no. said that after 45 days they will mail him. April 6 2009 he received letter stating that it has been upgraded. but they misspelled his last name. so my husband called again to USCIS for clarrification of misspelled name. they give him again confirmation No. and wait for 45 days...haaaiiii!!!!!!!

i hope that our case will move fast,,,gudlack

my wifes case is very similar to YOURS as to the dates veryclose my wife i130 was filed on jan 13 2006.got my citizenship on 03/31/2009.i called the send them copy now i received mail from uscis says they no longer have jurisdiction over my case and i need to call nvc.yesterday i called nvc operator told me they just received my case and i should send them a copy for citizenship.today i called automated system has case number but for LPR saying they received april and they are currently processing august 2004 .so will send them my certificate tomorow morning.will keep posting as stuff unvails.

ALL I DONT KNOW IS HOW LONG UPGRADE FOR I130 TAKES IN NVC

.... hi, can i ask you some questions since we do have same situation here, what's d right ADDRESS did you used to send an upgrade request to the USCIS for upgrading petition? and also the number to called USCIS also to upgrade it...and how many days till the USCIS approved it after upgrading? thanks in advance...

...hi there, what service center are you in? californina or vermont? btw, we are also in this situation like upgrading petition from LPR to USC.. do you know the number to called for USCIS for upgrading petition? and do they really give you a confirmation number for it? i am really confused since my husband said like he called USCIS too to upgrade, but the one who answer just give him the fax number in where to send the request for upgrade and we did that, but until now we dont know of they touch d case or not..can i know the right number to called in USCIS to upgrade petition, or if you know the right address too to mail the request is much appreaciated...thanks and goodluck to us all..

we sent it to USCIS CSC PO box 10130 laguna niguel ca. 92607-0130. and we called to USCIS and Visa journey members big help for me cause they share some info. 1-800-375-5283 Press 1 3 1 2. they will ask u some info. about ur case. we recieved letter again from USCIS WITH THE CORRECTION of my husband last name. and said that our case has been upgraded. now we just waiting for another step....gud lack friend keep in touch

i called 1-800-375-5283 Press 1 3 1 2 and agent should give you confirmation number.when i did i got mail withing week that they dont have my case no more since have been approved previous week but am guessing upgrade is immediate though they may take time to approve.my advice is also send certificate to USCIS CSC PO box 10130 laguna niguel ca.i did both and withing 10days they sent my paper back since they couldnt use them. my case is with NVC and today i called then operator told me take two weeks to 4 weeks to process upgrades so still in waiting mode

just received email for choice of agent so upgrade must have gone through==thats was 3weeks
