Golden opportunity in case you haven't.

I just locked in a 4.25% fixed 15 year mortage to refi my 5.85% 30 year for the cost of 1 point. The savings over the next 15 years will be beat the amount I've lost in my 401K! Taxes are going to be fun though.

great. The trouble and stife and Iare looking into the possibility of buying this year. Big tax breaks, great mortgage rate and falling prices. Never a better time to buy.

The $8000 tax break expires at the end of the year. We'll soon be in the market for a house so that just sweetens the deal for first time home buyers.
