On March 30, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

You would think I should be excited right now. Half of me is half of me isn't and here's why!

This approval is based on the application when I was married. Back in February 2009 I put in a letter withdrawing this application and paid an extra $500 for another new I-751 with the divorce waiver which was approved and I got a second extension letter.

It worries me because I hope they didn't approve it because they think I am still married which I clearly placed in my withdrawal letter that I am not any more and sending a new application in for processing based on the fact I am now divorced. I don't want them to think I am lying through this whole mess.

So my question is what the happened?

Two things I thought might of happened

ONE: They used the information from the new I-751 I sent to amend the old I-751 application

TWO: They ignored my cover letter saying I wanted withdrawal and approved it anyway based on my marriage

Any thoughts or similar (if any) situations before I make an infopass appointment?

When did you submit the first time? I thought (not sure if it's true) they (USCIS staff) told you that you are supposed to go back to the queue if you withdraw the original one (on your previous post). (please don't think that I'm jealous of your approval, just trying to help, lots of posts here recently that speculate people are being jealous, I might even think about putting that on my signature as a disclaimer.)

Better call 1800 number to find out because these things are so mixed up with USCIS.

Already called the number yesterday and according to the person on the phone that its OK. I got approval and I don't have to worry about anything.

The original application was sent in December 2007. The new one was sent with the withdrawal letter in February 2009. Like you I thought I would be placed to the back of the line since I started the whole process again.

I think I got something to worry about especially something so important that mistakes can't go unquestioned.

Oh! Wow! That's great! Congratulations!

I'm truly happy for you (not jealous)!

If you're worry so much, try call again, this time ask for an actual IO instead of the switchboard people who only knows to answer the phone and read the same online status as us. May be that would help solve the mystery.

We had a problem with the I-751 and the only way we could find out what was happening was we contacted our senator who has a "pipeline" to someone in USCIS and they found out right away and the problem was corrected.

The 800 number was worthless.
