That shouldn't be a problem at all. Just submit a notarized affidavit that those two names belong to you.

Don't panic, marriage certificate which should/will have both your name and your husbands will be enough evidence. An affidavit is also good. Many have done this, no issues. Goodluck.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Now what do you think- can the consul decide to start NAME CHECK for my case after an interview? Or any other checks?I sent letter to the consulate already asking this question, but they still didnt answer.

Again, I am not sure, but we did a K-1 and my husband went through name check BEFORE the interview (when his case was at the NVC for like 6 months).

don't panic... just call the embassy, ask questions.

bring your birth certificate, your marriage certificate, if you have a valid id with your photo on it under your maiden name... etc. the affidavit sounds like a good idea too. If you have other documents such as school records (transcripts, diplomas) you can bring them too for further evidence. I'm sure lots of women have had this issue before and they won't outright deny you unless there is a reason to.

good luck!
