Question on Medical

Hey all,

Have a question concerning the Medical exam. We got the NOA2 so I told my wife to go and get her police record done and start the medical exam/vaccinations. We got through all the AOS, DS-3032 and we were just waiting for her police record to complete to send in the DS-230. The instructions for the DS-230 says that after they receive, then they will send instructions for the medical exam. But we had done some research on the approved facilities and now she is finished with the medical but we are still getting our docs together to send in the DS-230.

I wouldn't think that is a problem, but is there a time limit or anything on the medical. She just picked up the sealed report yesterday and also the police record so she mailed me the last of the documents yesterday to send with the DS-230. Told her to hold on to the medical report for the interview.

Would the NVC be able to make the interview any earlier (based on availability, of course), since her medical is done. Wanted to ask them in the cover letter for the DS-230.

Any thoughts out there would be so much appreciated.

Thanks,

vny

I can't imagine them making an allowance for an earlier interview just because the beneficiary had her medical early - so I would say - highly unlikely.

They are supposed to be good for a year generally - however that may be different for different consulates. Why not send a quick email to the consulate and ask.

Mahalo for your reply. Yes, I wouldn't think they would give preference for earlier interview, but I figure, if you don't ask, you don't get. So was just going to put it in the DS-230 cover letter. Will let you all know what happens.

I'm just glad this waiting game is almost over. I'm hoping not more than 5 or 6 weeks more. I know you all feel the pain of separation too, and it is real, but we just all have to do our best.

Mahalo and Aloha,
