I dont know what form you sent, but i know i all the instructions i read for all the forms and paperwork i had to send for visa stuff it says specifically DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS because if they are asked of you (which they are fair game, and very well might be, so you should find a way of getting certified copies or w/e just in case) you need to have originals because things can be 'misplaced', like i said before, i dont know what stage you are in, but with my husbands i-129, and necessary paperwork, i sent COPIES, and at his interview in juarez mexico, he took ORIGINALS, and they wanted to look them over. You are also supposed to take originals of EVERYTHING to the interview in the U.S if they make you have 1 before you get your green card. Good luck. But i suggest getting certified copies to take just for back ups, if you dont need them, fine, bt it would suck to need them, and not have them.... im sure you would agree.

GueraKristina,

Please note that the original poster is filing for a CR1 or IR1 visa, you applied for a K visa - these are two completely different things, therefore you answer is incorrect.

No, you do not have to have additional originals with you to take to the interview and in fact they should return the originals to you at the interview (except for the police certificate(s) )

U have to send originals of all the required documents to NVC,otherwise it will generate RFE and delay the process,(as we know its very hard to get originals let alone certified copies from authorities in Pakistan) after ur case will complete @ NVC they will send ur file to US embassy Islamabad ,on the day of interview ask them to return u ,ur documents as they promised on NVC website.but keep extra copieds of everything u send to NVC and also take those to embassy on the day of interview.
