 You make me laugh th3mo. You know now that I think about it, maybe the one I just talked to was Kathy. Its so crazy how you can call in the morning and get someone who is so rude and then call later and talk to someone who is so nice...its like night & day with them. Interesting. I will call back late tonight and see what I get. Hopefully an answer because coffee on top of anxiousness doesn't mix very well. I am about to rocket up out of my cube here at work!!!

I'm fighting the urge to call an operator at NVC this morning to see if they have scheduled our interview yet. I hope to get the same blessing as Princess...interview scheduled the day after case complete. I told myself I would wait until this afternoon...we'll see how long I can hold out.

So something funny....The AVR at NVC said this morning that our case has been completed. Then it says "please wait 8 weeks for further instruction. If you have not heard anything after 8 weeks please call us back." Ok...so who in the heck would wait 8 weeks with no word from NVC to finally call them back? This is my life I am waiting on here, not like a friggin pair of pants I ordered online or something!!! I can barely wait 8 HOURS without word to call them back. I just thought that was kind of funny...8 weeks

Amanda

I have been sitting here reading this thread again. I have been laughing so loud that it is waking up everyone else in the house. YOU ARE RIGHT - WE ARE NOT WAITING FOR A PAIR OF JEANS WE BOUGHT ONLINE! THIS IS OUR LIFE! Are they that stupid that they think we will actually wait 8 weeks???????????

Unfortunately, we are at their mercy and I am sure that it will not be 8 weeks to hear something but you never know.

Our case was completed on April 7th, after a supervisor reviewed our case - as they said that I was missing or had sent the wrong documents and I was more than positive that I had completed our package correctly.

Now we are waiting for an interview in Montreal.

Yeah right  pffffffftttttttt  I totally agree and thanks for the laughs. Much needed :P I believe they simply say that as a standard response, knowing full well we won't listen  But they are trained to keep the pressure on. Of course if they were in our shoes, they would be calling just as much as we do :innocent:

Yes, alot of the NVC and USCIS official rules are nonsense. Of course, most cases do not take 8 weeks to get an interview date, normally 2-3 weeks after case complete. But there are a handful that can take longer for whatever reason. So the NVC just puts in the max time it may take for them assign an interview date, which protects them from any legal actions or congressional inquiries.

Quick question...does AVR change and let you know that your interview has been scheduled or does it just say case complete and not change after that?? Just curious.

Amanda

it didn't change for me, it still says "case completed wait 8 week for further instructions....."

i called the doctor today and she said that i can take the medical exam only 2 weeks before the interview so i have to wait until may

I'm glad I could provide a little humor for some of you today. You are so right...we need to laugh a little and atempt to distract ourselves at least slightly so we don't go insane. I know that they HAVE to say the usual 6-8 weeks #######, but it really gets old quick. If they would just be straightforward with us and be sure in what they are saying (not having half of their employees saying interviews are being scheduled this week and the other half saying next week) we wouldn't have to call 8 million times a day to get correct information. I know everything will be okay and I am glad that I have a lot of people here at VJ I can talk to that can identify with me. A lot of people ask me when my husband is coming and I say I don't know...we are still waiting and this total process could take 6-12 months, they are like awwwwwwwwwww that sucks, then go about their business. But we are the ones that have to worry about it, think about it, stress about it 24/7 for those 6+ months, not them. So it is good to have people to talk to that know what I mean!!!

Just called NVC again...no interview date yet. Someone else that got case complete yesterday (like me) from Jordan got their interview date today for May 20th. How do they decide the order? I am so heartbroken right now...can't stop crying about it. :crying::cry:
