Got an e-mail today from NVC, October 16 is our Interview date in Islamabad. My brother got October 9th for his wife

Wow NVc issueing interview frist week of Sept? that is great, I always heard it was only the 2 week of each month.

Yeah, that's what I was hearing too, but then got this e-mail so that's a plus. Thanks! :dance:

OMG! i just got an email from NVC, our appointment is scheduled for October 27th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

And while I'm very cynical and think that this is going to go into AP just because my husband was born in Syria, it's still good...at least it's closer to us coming together finally...

Now, I'm going to work on getting all this stuff together, and I guess he will too...

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

1st i would like to congratulate you for the interview date :dance: i knew how it feels when you had to wait just to hear when it will be because it makes the journey one feet less , and about the AP do your best be honest and let god lead the rest and for sure AP for MENA (Middle East & North Africa ) is regular thing but stay positive :thumbs: ,Good Luck

05/18/2009 - NOA1

08/21/2009 - NOA2 (95 days from NOA1)

09/01/2009 - NVC assigned case no. (11 days from NOA2 incl. 2 weekends)

09/15/2009 - got DS 3032 form from NVC by email

09/17/2009 - sent DS 3032 to NVC by email and by regular mail

09/17/2009 - received and paid AOS fee bill (paid online)

09/18/2009 - NVC accepted DS 3032

09/22/2009 - received and paid IV fee bill (paid online)

09/22/2009 - AOS fee entered into the NVC system

09/22/2009 - received AOS package

09/24/2009 - IV fee entered into the NVC system

09/24/2009 - received IV package

10/02/2009 - sent DS 230 package from Germany to NVC by UPS

10/05/2009 - NVC received DS 230 package

10/06/2009 - DS 230 entered into NVC system

10/09/2009 - sent AOS forms to NVC by USPS express

I m very close to my POE date and im kind of panicking a bit.... do i just need the big sealed envelope and my passport with the CR-1 visa to enter the USA? it might be a very stupid question for you all but its like my mind is thinking about every single thing at the moment and it would be great to hear exactly what is needed from you guys that went through this already! I will be leaving to the States next week!

its been long time since the old gang were talking , so that is the steps first on the airplane you will file form called i-94 which is your visa data plus the flight # its easy , then you will get out of the plane depend on your POE mine was JFK it is so easy and they are so friendly , you will follow the signs till you get to the boarder officers counters they are like 12 or 13 depends on how many flights landed so will give him/her your passport will ask you the purpose of the visiting and asking for your envelope will open it then will ask you to get your fingerprint done and eyes too then will follow him to the home land security office then asking you will gonna be in the address (DUH) yes for sure no where else l`d like to be anyways will do one finger fingerprint again and sign another form , then go get you bags if its in JFK and have another connecting flight , will go through another bags security check and when finish will go to another one which will takes every piece of metal out even your shoes :whistle: then that is it the searching part for your connecting flight gate will start and don not forget to check with your flight operator first because i got wrong gate in ticket and had to get the right one GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT :thumbs:

its a record form and for immigrant visa you will not have it back or stapled to the passport only the none immigrant have to keep it when they going to update them conditions through the local office or social security office ,that is what i know but what i know for sure every alien have to do it

i know it is hard to say just hold on a few more day, but when i was waiting i felt the same way & all i could do

was pray & it work out so good for me when i found out my case was completed i got the interview date one wk

later . i had my interview on 28th sept in barbados & i was like a walk in the park ..... this is just to help you

good people keep the faith..& i'll be praying for you all cause we are all in this together .

I gonna join this interview club!! my case was completed last October 29, 09 and am waiting for my interview too...

yeah...before the case was complete..oh man the waiting time kills me!! i am hoping to spend the christmas with my bebe..

mind you it took us 60+ days at the NVC, NVC received our case august 25!! and by the way..we're using a lawyer!

nah...weren't put into AP.
