Same here... We were hoping that my honey can be here for my bday in June. Now, we're not sure if that will happen. He's eager to hop on the flight the next day after getting visa to be here on my bday but I don't want to rush him to come here. Oh well... :)

It will happen, Champi  And rush him, rush him! I plan to run with my husband from the consulate to the airline office and directly to the airport. My dream of sitting beside him and watching his face as we land at JFK is so now worn it's completely tattered. I think I will be a sobbing mess.

That's really sweet :)

I can't rush him because he is leaving his life/family behind for him for me, or I should say, for us. If he voluntarily wants to rush, I don't have any problems ;)

I hear you. That's a tough one. :( Mine's doing the same. I guess all our loved ones face that bitter-sweet situation.

congratulations champi

Thanks Princess. Just got another good news too, my 2008 tax extension was accepted by IRS :) For hitting these two major milestones, I am surprisingly calm, no screaming yet ;) Maybe I just woke up and the news has not synced in properly in my brain.

Vivian, why is ur dream of landing together shot? Are u no longer planning to do it? My hubby keeps saying how he would love it if we flew together and as nice as that would be I think waiting at the gate of the POE is a lot more romantic and exciting! That first hug and kiss after a longgggggg separation. You don't always have moments like those in life :luv:(F)(L)

So sorry to hear this.

NVC try to do case complete by the order they receive, assuming nothing unusual with your case. But unfortunately, interviews don't work like that, so even if you got case complete before someone else, your interview may be later depending on embassy's work load. NVC ususally schedules interviews for all people at a particular embassy on same day, so everyone who did not get an interview for May means that your embassy probably stopped scheduling May interviews back in March, so no one at your embassy probably got a May interview in April.

I'm just annoyed that NVC can't get their facts straight, when I called last week, some operators still said April 6-10 is last week for May interviews and other said April 13-17. But luckily I escaped with a date last week so don't have to deal with their BS anymore.

The only silver lining is NVC don't really ever stop scheduling, as many have learned of their dates in the middle or end of a month, especially those who had case complete awhile ago, but could not get a date for the next earliest month. So NVC might have stopped scheduling for May, but you guys waiting more than 2-3 weeks may find out your June dates by mid to late April, and might not have to wait for mid-May. It still sux you guys gotta wait till June for the interviews, but at least knowing the date earlier will relieve the stress of waiting.

Good luck to all waiting and hope to hear some good news soon, mebe NVC got their info screwed again and are still scheduling for May... ;)

I have to agree. Most of us waiting for case completion and those who got case completes recently will probably have interview dates available by the end of the month provided their consulate has an open slot.

I have seen many ppl on VJ who were able to bump their interviews up by communicating diretly with their consulate.

Hi guys

I called NVC this morning as was told that No more doucments needed from my side and the case is under FINAL REVIEW.According to the operator my IV payment issue is not holding up my case and she put me on hold to speak toher supervisor and It will be updated by tommorrow.

My question is how long is this FINAL REVIEW on average and is it too late to get a May interview now??

Thanks in advance for your reponses.

ATK, u r soooooooooo lucky!!! :star: One day to complete ur case after being in final review is sooooo rare these days! enjoy and congrats once again!!

me joining this thread.....

Case completed yesterday :):dance::dance:

I tell you...I am flat out devastated. I had high hopes that we would get a May interview date. I thought this week would be a good week and we would hear something, I just didn't expect to hear that. Maybe our embassies will go ahead and give them their open dates for June and we will all be the first ones in line for interviews for the beginning of June. I seriously don't have $1600 to fly to Jordan to see my husband...I wish I did. :crying:

"I know how u feel :( Not exciting news we were hoping to hear. But in a weird way it takes the pressure off to constantly hope for a May interview. Now I know I need to take it easy and let things take their own course. I too believe there is a reason why. U never know maybe if our SOs got the May interview, they would have gotten a mean person and maybe now they will get someone else. IDK just trying to think positive :star: It sucks for u Amanda since ur case is completed. Hugs for u ((((((((((((AMANDA)))))))....As for the rest of us, it will give us time to finalize things should there be any RFEs."

GS

Thanks for the support GS4Ever. I really appreciate it. You are acutally the second person who has said something about maybe our interview wasn't scheduled in May because of a mean interviewer at the embassy. And you are right. There is definitely a reason for the delay, although I don't know what it is. I'm sure it is in our favor. And it does feel good in a way to be done with everything and just wait for the next round of scheduling. Maybe the embassy will send their June slots to NVC before the middle of May and we will now ahead of time. So I just have to stay strong and find a way to distract myself. Although, I was hoping for my husband's interview as my birthday present (my b-day is May 8th), but instead maybe it will be in time for his birthday on June 13th. :)

Amanda

Amanda I feel really depressed and sad inside too. I am on spring break and unable to be with my hubby as well due to money issues. I too fly via RJ to get to Leb. and spending 1300-1600 is just not an option right now :crying: I sometimes wish he was in Canada or somewhere closer so I could flight out more often :( Hang in there though b/c now that u r done and don't have to worry abt case complete, u can still hope for an early June interview (almost same as LATE May interview ;) )) Yeah I know not much consolation, but I tried :P Just know u r not alone! ((((HUGGG))))

Same here... We were hoping that my honey can be here for my bday in June. Now, we're not sure if that will happen. He's eager to hop on the flight the next day after getting visa to be here on my bday but I don't want to rush him to come here. Oh well... :)

Yeah my wish for a May bday is shot as well ...unlessssssssss  dare I say it?? :innocent: It would take a miracle surely! But I would be really devastated if we missed our 1st wedding anniversary. Hoping we get to be together by then!!

Congrats champi & atk on case complete. Hopefully all of us will get our interview set up for early June. As for now, I am home sick today. I guess all the worrying and being upset for 2 months straight has weakend my immune system....my body is aching and my head is killing me...I hope it doesn't get worse. Because I mean, what else??

Hey Amanda,

Hang in there girl!!! You can't give up on your health this way. Remember, you'll need all the energy and good health you can get once your hubby is here... I do hear you though, I've become a complete mess. For me, this has been an on going thing since last 6-7 months from prepping for wedding to case complete. First, I had to get prep for India trip and wedding, there was not much I could do for wedding, but I had to do lot of shopping to take gifts back home. It's fun shopping, but it is also exhausting. Then I took 6 weeks off from work in November/December to get married plus attend 4 other weddings of my cousins (Everything was not planned ahead, it just so worked out that we all got married in the same month within 10 days :D) + 10-day honeymoon :D Once I got back, I fell into this USCIS/NVC trap :)

I shouldn't complain since things worked out good overall. But all these things definitely are exhausting and takes toll on the body. Now, I am going to focus on regaining my strength, physically and mentally. Need to get back on exercise routine to lose all the weight I gained during the stress time. Plus, want to start eating better. Focus more on work... And the list goes on :)

Anyways, I am very eager for all of us to complete the case and get through interview. Good luck and feel better :)

Amanda

Thanks for the support. I know I'm not the only one falling apart. Not only do we have to be separated from our husband's & wives for months on end, but we have to deal with paying fees, making sure we fill out all the paperwork right, calling and talking to rude operators about our cases, begging & pleading that they finish our cases. It is very stressful, especially when holidays & birthdays go by and you have family members & friends constantly asking "when will he get here, how much longer before he gets here???" I know I have let myself go a bit and I really need to take these next two months to get myself back in order. I have been working out a lot, but it doesn't seem to be doing any good because of all the stress & not eating well. So time to get out of the slump and try to keep the positive attitude. The wait sucks though.....trying not to think about how long it will be & how long its been.

Dream is still alive! Just very worn from being dreamt of so many times - which is why it is tattered.

Hi interview waiting friends, I will soon be officially waiting for you but this time for my husband's K3 interview...Ok here goes the latest update from me:

Our K3 got to NVC on March 6th and was stuck in AP on March 10th. It was just sent to embassy today :star: Which means we were in AP for 34 days total.

This is bitter sweet news to us since we had decided to follow CR1 but today found out our CR1 is also stuck in AP. Stupid AP  Anyways, my hubby and I will follow whichever one gets us reunited faster cz we are so freakin' tired of this separation and nerve-wrecking wait!!! So we shall see where that leads us...We are now hoping to secure a May interview for K3 and be able to flip to CR1. I still believe things happen for a reason. NVC closed the May interviews yesterday so maybe this happened in our favor seeing as how we can still get a May interview and possibly flip our K3 to a CR1 interview ...Still keeping the faith :innocent: Maybe this is God's way to get us a May interview in the round about way :)

Vivian, glad to see the dream is still alive :P

Amanda and Champi, I can sooooo relate. My poor body has suffered so much b/c of the stress this process has put me under. That's why I don't care anymore which visa hubby will enter with, of course I hope CR1 will be completed in time for his K3 interview but we will go for whichever is ready first cz at this point I just can't take another month away from him!! :crying:
