I tell you...I am flat out devastated. I had high hopes that we would get a May interview date. I thought this week would be a good week and we would hear something, I just didn't expect to hear that. Maybe our embassies will go ahead and give them their open dates for June and we will all be the first ones in line for interviews for the beginning of June. I seriously don't have $1600 to fly to Jordan to see my husband...I wish I did. :crying:

this is EXACTLY what my husband said. Both about the first slots in June and that he can't take time off to come see me :crying: I read somewhere that the embassies schedule immigrant interviews on certain day for example the first two wednesdays or something like that. for now i think a call to the embassy might give us an idea of what to expect for june. we're at the very last stretch and soon we'll have an end point to this countdown, better than just hanging in the air waiting with no limit.

So sorry to hear this.

NVC try to do case complete by the order they receive, assuming nothing unusual with your case. But unfortunately, interviews don't work like that, so even if you got case complete before someone else, your interview may be later depending on embassy's work load. NVC ususally schedules interviews for all people at a particular embassy on same day, so everyone who did not get an interview for May means that your embassy probably stopped scheduling May interviews back in March, so no one at your embassy probably got a May interview in April.

I'm just annoyed that NVC can't get their facts straight, when I called last week, some operators still said April 6-10 is last week for May interviews and other said April 13-17. But luckily I escaped with a date last week so don't have to deal with their BS anymore.

The only silver lining is NVC don't really ever stop scheduling, as many have learned of their dates in the middle or end of a month, especially those who had case complete awhile ago, but could not get a date for the next earliest month. So NVC might have stopped scheduling for May, but you guys waiting more than 2-3 weeks may find out your June dates by mid to late April, and might not have to wait for mid-May. It still sux you guys gotta wait till June for the interviews, but at least knowing the date earlier will relieve the stress of waiting.

Good luck to all waiting and hope to hear some good news soon, mebe NVC got their info screwed again and are still scheduling for May... ;)

:crying: I just called NVC. No interview date. Operator told me they have closed scheduling and we now have to wait until the middle of May to see if we get a June date. :crying::crying::crying:

Oh noo... This is sad news. This means, all the people waiting for case completion on other thread (including myself) missed the schedule...

WHAT!!??? Oh no!! this weekend was really hard waiting and thinking about a new week and probably a may interview... Now i feel so sad :( ... But in the end... Only God knows why i'm here waiting... or why We are waiting... must be a good reason...

Best wishes

Not necessarily true....someone with a case complete same day as me, same type of visa as me & same embassy as me got a May interview date.

My final review took about 1 week, I think that is pretty average. And yes, it is too late for a May interview. You need to have case complete before the second week of the month & per the NVC operators as of Friday, May scheduling is now closed. :( Sorry.

Heey everybody, this morning I took a time and went through all this topic, since now Im so close (no RFE I hope) to have my case completed I thought would be the time to join the one who are waiting for an interview :) Give some support . :D

Amanda, it really must suck for you to not have your interview date for May, your case was completed still early April, do you think if you call today you will get the same answer?

If my case gets completed now I will probably get a June interview date, BUT I was thinking...I still have my K3 interview for April 30th. If they give me an excuse that the embassy has no more open days for interviews I can play the "but I already have an interview date set for me there" card. Do you think that could work? Maybe I could switch my K3 interview to CR1 based on that. A girl from Brazil tried to do that in this embassy, but she talked to the embassy and they didnt do it for her, but maybe NVC would agree doing that.

I've seen a lot of people here that didn't succeed, but I can always try right?

:)

You have to look at it from thier side. They probably get thousands of calls every day. Out of those calls how many do you think are the kind of call where the operator is getting yelled at by a mad person because the parerwork is still at NVC. I would be a little pissy to and i'm probably sure you would be also. Walk a mile in another person's shoes and your feet will be killing you.

I'll agree with you that walking in another person's shoes will definitely give us a rational behind their behavior. However, it does not mean their behavior is appropriate. Dealing with rude customer comes as part of their job description... wouldn't you agree.

am agree with you if it happened for one time by accident but 2 or 3 time in a row and from the same person so what do you think about that? and as we know phone operators supposed to be good ones and have good training to avoid those rude people calling, one of there job is be always calm and smiling like anywhere else besides when we call we asking for our rights and some explanations won`t hurt if asked ,ok you will say getting the same question thousand times a day thats ok too because they are the one choose to work as an operator

least not last point is " if anybody of you got the same i guess will not be accepting it anyways we all the same whatever you are or what position you in "

Good luck :star:

I agree. It's their JOB. They don't need to be mean. If they don't like it, they need to get another job where they don't have to hear the same question over and over each day. We have a right to get an explanation and if we talk to them politely, they do not have the right to humiliate us!!!

I tell you...I am flat out devastated. I had high hopes that we would get a May interview date. I thought this week would be a good week and we would hear something, I just didn't expect to hear that. I know how u feel :( Not exciting news we were hoping to hear. But in a weird way it takes the pressure off to constantly hope for a May interview. Now I know I need to take it easy and let things take their own course. I too believe there is a reason why. U never know maybe if our SOs got the May interview, they would have gotten a mean person and maybe now they will get someone else. IDK just trying to think positive :star: It sucks for u Amanda since ur case is completed. Hugs for u ((((((((((((AMANDA)))))))....As for the rest of us, it will give us time to finalize things should there be any RFEs.

Thanks for the support GS4Ever. I really appreciate it. You are acutally the second person who has said something about maybe our interview wasn't scheduled in May because of a mean interviewer at the embassy. And you are right. There is definitely a reason for the delay, although I don't know what it is. I'm sure it is in our favor. And it does feel good in a way to be done with everything and just wait for the next round of scheduling. Maybe the embassy will send their June slots to NVC before the middle of May and we will now ahead of time. So I just have to stay strong and find a way to distract myself. Although, I was hoping for my husband's interview as my birthday present (my b-day is May 8th), but instead maybe it will be in time for his birthday on June 13th. :)

It will happen, Champi  And rush him, rush him! I plan to run with my husband from the consulate to the airline office and directly to the airport. My dream of sitting beside him and watching his face as we land at JFK is so now worn it's completely tattered. I think I will be a sobbing mess.

Same here... We were hoping that my honey can be here for my bday in June. Now, we're not sure if that will happen. He's eager to hop on the flight the next day after getting visa to be here on my bday but I don't want to rush him to come here. Oh well... :)

It will happen, Champi  And rush him, rush him! I plan to run with my husband from the consulate to the airline office and directly to the airport. My dream of sitting beside him and watching his face as we land at JFK is so now worn it's completely tattered. I think I will be a sobbing mess.

That's really sweet :)

I can't rush him because he is leaving his life/family behind for him for me, or I should say, for us. If he voluntarily wants to rush, I don't have any problems ;)
