If i remember correctly i think Staashi posted that she was in the hospital but hadnt dialated at all yet....not sure when that was...i hope her delievery has moved on now and she is holding her precious baby!

Ok I'm half dressed in snow gear and professional gear for the Borah Symposium. I'm taking the rest of my professional clothes in a garment bag because of the snow outside. Fun Fun! I've got my snow boots on and I'm almost ready to trek through the snow and the muck. Lovely.

Well I'm here and I'm changed into my suit. I have about 15 minutes before it starts and no one is here yet. I'm sure I have the right place.

ak3 the secret to speeches is blunt memorization. Write out everything you're going to say and then go over it and over it in front of a mirror for several hours. I was pacing around my room last night practicing my speech out loud until I was sure I could say it without looking at the script. Speaking it out loud in front of the mirror helps you see how you look so you have a good mental picture already of the presentation you are giving. Plus it allows you to practice getting it all out. Speak slowly and clearly with pauses and show appreciation for applause if any.

I also consider my audience and the place. If it's going to be an intimate group of people then I would speak slowly and softly to them. If it's in a large room that sound gets lost in then I put my shoulders back, suck in my stomach and speak from my diaphragm so that my voice carries louder. When you're well prepared and know you look good then you're nerves don't get the best of you. I also consider the people I am giving the speech too are also humans just like me.

hey all, I just talked to Staashi She's still in the hospital and no baby yet! Inductions can take a while though... She is a bit uncomfortable and getting tired but spirits are good and she sounded just fine. Probably no baby tonite so I guess tomorrow will be the day.

I would just not graduate. I cannot do speeches and it has kept me from my AA degree. I will just never have a job where I need to do them so can't see a reason to take the class.
