Is this required for a K-1 visa interview in Vancouver? Someone please answer soon. I am about to have a heart attack! Sitting in a hotel room with my fiance knocked out, and his interview is tomorrow! The checklist doesn't mention it, but I've just seen it on VJ and looking at the Vancouver reviews someone's interview was delayed two weeks because they're evidence of support and letter of intent wasn't notarized? I swear I read on here that it doesn't need to be notarized...? Please help, anything not on the checklist that we should bring? TIA!

I don't know what I'd do without this site!

As per the Vancouver Consulate website the DS-160 is required for applicants as of October 2008. I am aware of some who didn't have to complete it. However, I would just to be on the safe side. Good luck at your interview!

I-751 file: 11/07/11

NOA1 date: 11/10/11

Biometrics: 11/30/11

Approval: 08/17/12

Hold what you got and maintain.

I saw someone - whose name escapes me at the moment, mention that the DS-160 isn't required for K visas interviewing in Vancouver yet. I emailed them and asked them last week, this is their reply:

DS-160 is not required for processing K visas in Vancouver. We are still using form DS-156 for processing K visas.

Thank you,

K visa unit

I too would bring it if you can - but if you can't - well hopefully it is not an issue!

I'm not really familiar with the letter of intent or evidence of support - but I thought I read that at least the I-134 (if that is what you are talking about) does not need to be notarized anymore.

Hopefully someone will come along and help you with those questions and good luck

Thanks you guys! I definitely recall reading that the I-134 didn't need to be notarized on here anymore so that's why I got a bit freaked out! We completed the DS-160 (which was a bit lengthy btw) last night so we're off to find a place to print it off just in case. Whew! Thanks again!
