I don't care who does drugs or who doesn't, but when you make a statement about how druggies should be sent up the river, than get caught yourself doing the exact same thing, I DON'T CARE IF HE HAD A BACK PROBLEM, THE MAJORITY OF PRESCRIPTION ADDICTS CLAIM BACK PROBLEMS. Back problems are hard to diagnosis, and not all back problems can be seen, so when a patient tells me he has a back problem and needs Dilaudid, Lorcet, Lortab, OxyContin, Percocet, Percodan, Tylox, Vicodin, any good doctor knows there is a bigger problem than a back problem. Rush used his back problem as an excuse to abuse drugs. I stand by what I said in the beginning he is one big HYPOCRITE. You can't compare marijuana to narcotics, that is just ludicrous.

But, seriously, Rush went on a tirade the other day against Michael Steele, who had the unmitigated gall to call Rush “ugly” and “incendiary”.

Steele subsequently backpedaled, kissing the Enormous One’s ring. That’s unfortunate, because Steele’s criticism, on the D.L. Hughley show, is about the only sensible thing I have ever heard come out of Steele’s mouth.

What’s the point? Well, the point is that in Rush’s above-mentioned tirade, he stated that Steele should be more focused on his job than on being a “talking head media star”. That, after all, is Rush’s job. Steele’s job, as Rush sees it, is “doing something about our open primary system and fixing it so that Democrats do not nominate our candidates”.

Oh, really? Is this the same Rush Limbaugh who organized Operation Chaos, which illegally attempted to disrupt the Democratic primary process in 2008, by encouraging Republicans to vote in Democratic primaries? Yes, it’s the very same hypocrite, Rush Limbaugh.

So, according to Rush, it’s OK for Republicans to disrupt Democratic primaries, but NOT OK for Democrats to vote in Republican primaries, even with no ill intent? Yes, that’s exactly what he’s saying.

Rush, you need help. Put down the OxyContin. Put down the crack pipe, or whatever you’re smoking, and get help. It’s not too late. Crack kills (especially that enormous crack attached to your backside). The phone number for the Palm Beach area Narcotics Anonymous central office is 561-848-6262. Pick up the phone and call them now!

And very often they do back it up Boo - in relation to specific arguments people make.

For instance: when you said that because X amount of crimes are committed by ethnicity Y & Z, that it logically follows that the constitutional rights of ALL people of those ethnic groups should be curtailed.

Logical it ain't!

Let's get one thing straight. I am not a liberal so rights issue and being politically correct does nothing for me. Neither do I care about them. I am not going to sit here and pretend that someone living in the Ghetto of Jersey is anything like someone from Nebraska; regardless of race.

Actually, just the other day I was reading a journal and thought about you. It stated that as humans we essentially little alike. What we are alike in (in a broad sense) is that we all have feelings, likes, dislikes, values, attitudes, goals, beliefs etc. But individual and cultural differences are great. As an individual we have different personality, abilities, intelligence, ambition, motivations, priorities, values expectations etc. Attributes that are further defined by our environment, our community and even heredity (innate). So the assumption that we are all equal, that is, we all think the same is incorrect and false. That is the part of culture, which you guys confuse for race, that you and your buddies here grossly fail to comprehend.

PS Before you go on your own rant that it's some sort of racist KKK document, it was a psychology journal. I might even have to teach you something about studies carried out on twins who were separated at birth yet (amazingly) have similar attributes and personalities; though they have never met one another.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Bad choice of words - that individuals are "different" does not make someone "unequal".

But most of this is just stating the obvious - individuals *are* different, of course... If that weren't the case we'd likely all be living in some sort of Stepford Wives nightmare.

Of course, none of it has anything to do with your broad brush statements.

Actually it says a lot. According to you and your buds here we are all equal and in every aspect. After all, you guys have been saying this for a good 4 years now. You refused to see culture and attitude as an underlying reason for a lot of America's problem, with regards to both crime and poverty. Though, you have regularly used history and other events to justify an individual's actions or discredit that of others or any stats the show otherwise.

For example: you guys will claim that saying Hispanics (those from the northern parts of South America) are more likely to commit crimes is stereotyping and racist. Even though that stats themselves suggest clearly show otherwise: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count..._by_murder_rate

What puzzles me, is not that people like listening to Rush's radio program, we are all different and I am sure there are excellent reasons for doing so but that somehow his show has become a symbol of American right wing political thinking. This guy is a media personality, not a political savant. He doesn't even try to don the tools of that trade. All this defense of his show, as a show is perfectly fine - if that is what you find entertaining, there is absolutely nothing wrong with finding it entertaining. However, to somehow believe or portray him as a political figure is just a nonsense.

The American politicians deserve some blame in this too though. No matter how much 'influence' the guy has over his listeners, it has zip to do with politics and politicians would do well to leave well alone.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

As I said - "different" does not equate to "unequal", I'm not sure what you're trying to suggest with that. Again a poor choice of words to apply to people - though there certainly are tangible inequalities between different populations.

That aside - I've never denied are *an* underlying reason for social problems (key word "an"). The difference being of course that you seem to believe that it is *the* underlying reason for everything. That is indicative of a number of things - not least that you don't understand that "culture" is an organic construct that came to be the way it is as a result of a number of different, disparate factors.

Wow for someone who claims they don't listen to Rush... you are more clued in (for the moment :)

than I thought.

The problem with those on the Right seems to be "few" people can articulate, the conservative message better than Rush.
