I'm curious as to what constitutes a "rant" in your mind, Steven. It seems that all someone as to do is to disagree with you and not back down on defending their points to be on a "rant". Is that why you don't defend your points? Coz you don't want to "rant"?

What you do consistently on here. Look, I've seen you in you calmer moments - when you avoid throwing everything including the kitchen sink into a discussion, but this isn't one of them. Someone quoted Rush where he talks about increasing the penalty for drug users.

Let me put that conversation in context as context is everything when being quoted.

He was not on a rant about punishing drug users but instead, the main issue was that some were wanting to lower the penalty for Crack cocaine as Powder coke gets a lower sentence.

He was talking about the crimewave that Crack has brought to many poor neighborhoods and the result of lowering the penalty of crack would in effect make thse focused on the race of the perp feel better but add many more (black) victims.

If that are going to do any thing...Rather than lower the penalty for crack they should up the penalty for powder.

He was simply trying to express that we don't become "more fair" by minimizing punishment.

He was not complaining or ranting about getting "tough on druggies".

People who don't listen to Rush have this idea he is some "social issues" crusader when he

really is not. His whole shtick is "limited Government", the only social issue he occasional will make personal comments on are Abortion.

The only time Homos come up on the show is when some homogroup will be in the news for doing something stupid and he has fun with it but I have never heard him condemn "being or acting homosexual".

He is not this social-rightwing guy the left wants to think he is and it's because they don't listen to him.

Rush loves parody and satire, and unfortunately he is one of the few on the right that know how to do it.
